~Rose~

I watched as Layla and George walked into the separate room as I sat at the table, staring down at my food, my face feeling really hot.  After we had that moment earlier, I had no idea what to do with us being alone…

“Rose?” I looked up to see Oliver looking at me, his head tilted to the side.  “Is something wrong?  Did you not want to be alone with me?”

            “No I did.  I’m just…”

“Awkward?” He smiled softly as he stood up, coming around the table to sit near me.  “I understand because I am too.”

“Really?” He shrugged a little as he reached into his flannel jacket, pulling out a box with a pink bow on a light blue wrapping paper.  “What is it?”

“Open it.” His fingertips played with the tips of my hair as he brushed my bangs out of my face.  I could feel my cheeks heating up as I grabbed the gift from his hands, pulling off of the ribbon.  He smiled sweetly at me again as I opened the box.  I felt a smile brush against my face even wider as I pulled out the golden snitch twin hair ties.  “Every time I look at you, I can’t help but smile.  I’ve always been interested in quidditch and quidditch alone.  Now, I have two things I’m crazy about in my life.”

I felt my cheeks heat up as he sat in front of me, using his ankles to pull my chair closer to him as he ran his fingers through my hair, pulling the hair ties out of my hair, only to replace them with the Golden Snitch ones.  “I love them.  But…”

“What’s wrong?” His brown eyes flashed a little sadly as he looked at me.

“My gift for you got ruined.” I could feel the tears bubbling at my eyes as I looked at him.  “I was making you a scarf and I got lost and a creature ate it…”

He smiled as he grabbed my hand, kissing my knuckles softly.  “Don’t worry about it, Rose.”

“I want to worry about it.” I whined softly as he leaned his forehead against my own, my cheeks immediately flushing.  “W-what are you doing?”

“Being with you is enough for me.” I leaned up as I placed a soft kiss on his nose, giggling softly as his cheeks flushed a bright red.  “This is also enough of a Valentine’s gift for me.” His large hand cupped my cheek as he leaned forward, his nose brushing against my own softly.  His eyes were half closed as my heart hammered in my chest when I was leaning forward.  I could feel his breath against my lips as I closed my eyes expectantly.

“Are you guys done?” George walked out of the little room he and Layla had gone into as Oliver grumbled something incoherent, as he laid his head against my shoulder, his hands falling to my arms, sliding down to my elbows. “Ow, what was that for?”

“Can’t you read the atmosphere?” My cheeks flushed again as I couldn’t stop grinning to myself.  “I’m sorry George is so dense.” Layla giggled out as she saw Oliver scoot back, sitting up right.

“It’s alright Layla.  Have you guys finished your exchange?” He had a smile across his face but I saw him send a glare at George.

“Yes.  Obviously if you guys were going to be making out—“

“We weren’t going to make out.” Oliver snapped at George as he ran his hand against his face.  It looked like his entire face was red, spanning from the tips of his ears.  I got up and skipped towards Layla, a smile plastered on my face.

“Look!  I got little Golden Snitch hair ties!” I squealed as she smiled and showed me her wrist.  “Wow!  I like that bracelet.” Layla giggled as she smiled softly towards me, but for some reason her eyes seemed a little off.

“Thank you.” Layla smiled as she sat on the other side of George and Oliver, George poking at Oliver’s cheeks.  “Your hair ties are very adorable.  I think it’s best you wear your hair out of your face.”

“I’m going to from now on.” I smiled as I looked at Oliver; his hand was pressed against his mouth as he was grumbling something.

I rolled over onto my side as I felt hair in my mouth.  Closing my eyes tightly against the bombarding light coming from the window, I groaned as I wiped my hand down my face, drool dripping down my palm.  I heard a soft mewl as I looked down, opening my eyes towards him.  “Morning Misha…” I mumbled as I glanced over at my little table, my pigtails, and necklace sitting there waiting.  “It wasn’t a dream.” I smiled happily as I kicked off my sheets, looking over out the window as I climbed out of bed.  “It’s…” I grinned even wider as I jolted forward towards the window, pressing my nose against the cold glass.  “It’s snowing!” I chirped out happily as I could hear the Ravenclaw house starting to wake up.  “It’s snowing!  There’s snow!”  I jumped out of my bed, pulling my night clothes off only to throw my uniform on, hopping down the stairs quickly, trying to put my shoes on, clasp my necklace, as well as do my hair, all while running through the Ravenclaw house.  “It’s snowing!  It’s snowing!” I kept singing as I ran through the picture frame, colliding hard into a chest that smelt like oak.  “I’m sorry.”

            “Rose, relax, what’s wrong?”

I looked up at his brown eyes, giggling even harder as Misha finally caught up with me, and jumping onto Oliver’s shoulder.  “Nothing’s wrong, it’s snowing!” I sang out as I spun with my arms spread out happily.  “Let’s get Layla!” I screamed ecstatically, as I grabbed his hand happily, running off towards the Slytherin house.

I could hear Oliver laughing as we ran through the stairs and halls like maniacs, whether people were staring or now.  “Why’re we getting Layla?”

“We’re gonna build a snowman!” I shouted as I ran forward, and started smacking the wall next to the Slytherin painting.  “Layla, Layla!” I screamed out happily as I was pretty much dancing.  “Layla, do you want to build a snowman!” I sang out happily, spinning in a circle.
