Waving to Khina, Athena and I make our way into Milan, I drive into the underground parking. We walk up to the head office of VAERDA E&C.

All the staff immediately stop what they are doing, the building goes silent and everyone bows. We bow back and make our way to the boardroom.

My father is already waiting for us and flashes us a smile. My assistant walks up to me handing me a set of up to date statistics of our company.

Athena takes her place next to my father as the rest of the shareholders arrive. I start of the meeting by greeting everyone.

After the hour and a half long meeting, I meet personally with a few board members. They congratulate me as its only been a month since I fully took over my father's position.

I get a call from Daryn.
"I just dropped Khina off at school, I am having lunch in town today. So, join me?"
"Yeah, come to the office we'll leave together."
"I'll be there in 10."
"Bye, catch you here."
"Bye."

I find Athena and we head up to my office. We go over a few documents and reports. Daryn arrives, she walks tall, straight into my office, bowing back at everyone else.

Athena leaves saying she'll eat with a friend. Daryn straightens my tie and make our way down to the basement parking. I speed off already knowing where we are going.

We arrive a small, homey restaurant that we came to when we were first married. We order our usual; bacon and cheese fries, fettuccini carbonara and Arancini.

We eat while occasionally chatting.
"Are you still mad at me?" I ask already knowing the answer, but when she doesn't answer I try the easy way.

We pay the bill and drive back to the office. I collect a few agreements and reports and decide to skip the rest of the day.

We pick Khina up from school and speed back to the estate. Daryn takes Khina up to get clean while I head to our room to freshen up.

I remove my coat and Daryn walks already stripping to get in the bath. I go fill her a glass of champagne. I hand her the glass and lean over to kiss her.

Khina comes running into the room and kisses her mommy. As Daryn relaxes in the tub Khina goes on and on about school. Apparently, she has a crush on some boy called Kyros. That displeases me greatly.

A car comes through the driveway and parks swiftly at lightning speed.
"Ah, Adrian is here."
"Uncle A!" Khina bolts out the front running into Adrian who just got out his car.
"Khina!" Adrian picks him up, walking towards us.
"Salve! Fratello. How is Dubai doing?" I ask about our oil fields.
"Dubai has never been better!"
"Adrian!" Daryn comes out of the house, dressed.
"Cognata!" He greets Daryn with a kiss on the cheek.
