Adriana VAERDA We pull in to The Taj Mahal Hotel, Aaryan gets out and opens my door, helping me out. The car drives down to the parking and we make our way inside. Numerous members of staff come towards us, bowing and constantly asking us if we need anything. The manager leads us to sit while he calls the owner of the hotel as apparently Aaryan and I know him.
We sit down and Aaryan suddenly the whispers. "Seafood, Indian or Continental?" "I'm good with it all." I whisper, not really knowing why we were whispering. "They have Japanese too." "Oh, well then we can go Japanese." "Japanese it is." He nods and stands up as the owner comes towards and I follow in suit.
"Ah, Aaryan it's been awhile and who have you got- oh, Adriana, you're with Adriana?" Aaryan gives the owner a firm handshake. "Ah, it's Adriana, why do you sound so surprised, Zaid?" I tease. Aaryan looks slightly surprised that I called him by his name. "Do y'all know each other?" Aaryan asks. "Why wouldn't we know each other? We are in the same industry and Adriana here is a real close friend." "We'll catch up sometime, Zaid" I say. "Yeah, of course. Where would like to eat?" He asks. "She said Japanese so we are gonna head to Zodiac." Aaryan says. "Oh, okay." Zaid says something to the Manager in Hindi. "Okay, he will take you there." He gestures to the manager.
We enter Zodiac to find that it completely empty except for the staff. "We were ordered to clear it out" The manager informs. "Can we sit open air?" I ask as I walk towards the door that lead onto the balcony. He nods and follows.
We take a seat, looking over the city. We order the waiters recommendation and the chef special along with a sushi platter. Neither of us say anything while we wait for our food to arrive. Aaryan gets a phone call and gets up to attend to it. He barks orders in Hindi to the person in the other end, looking borderline stressed. He marches back to the and sits down with a scowl.
"Something wrong? I ask trying to make conversation. "I'm taking care of your sisters' shipment to New York, and they are having trouble loading everything on." "My sister's shipment?" I ask, I have nothing to do with Athena's business but it sounds important. "She's having everything that cost her more than 25 grand moves to her place." "Everything which is?" I ask trying to understand him. "Well basically everything considering the things she deals in."
I nod and thank the waiter who brought our platter. I immediately pick up my chopsticks, tapping them on my plate to hold them properly and mix a bit of wasabi in the soy sauce, then picking up a piece of sushi and putting it in my mouth. Aaryan motions for the waiter while watching me in my own world with the sushi.

"A fork for me, please." He asks. I look up at him, could he not eat with chopsticks? "Eating with two rods isn't one of my abilities." He answers my unspoken question. I nod again and continue eating, Aaryan joins when he gets his fork.
"Can I teach you? I ask immediately pursing my lips together, I blame the sushi for my new found courage. A quick look of surprise flashes across his face, but is quickly replaced with a small smile. "You could try I guess." He chuckles.
