Fiducia: Trust
Adrian VAERDA
Stepping out of the car, I reach up to swing the door back down.
Zion subtly points to the person getting off the car behind us."Sir, that's Shahid Ali." I nod, fixing my coat and walk up the stairs into the lobby. Shahid following behind.
He is behind me the entire way, on the elevator, and down the hallways to the lounge.
"Reservation under Vaerda." I state and walk in as the server directs me to my seat. Zion stays by my side as the rest spread out around the room.
"Shahid Ali, pleasure to meet you." He introduces himself. Stretching out his hand, I stand up, clasping his hand in a firm, practiced grip.
"Adrian, the feeling is mutual."
We take a seat, the servers present to us a variety of expensive cigars. He goes for a set of Gurkha Black Dragon and I for a King of Denmark.
We discuss business over a few glasses of whiskey.
"I'm getting married in two months and I would like to invite you to attend." He stands up getting out a invitation encased in an envelope embroidered in gold.
I stand up to accept it. "Congrats and I will be sure to attend."
We had gotten quite comfortable over our conversations and continued to talk until we reached our cars that had pulled up upfront.I stayed in Riyadh for two more days, meeting clients and partners, attending a few parties and the feisty vixen never left my head. The car pulled up right near the plane, staff bowing as I got out and in to the plane. I fist bump the pilots and an air hostess with botched lip filler hands me a flute of champagne, which I decline, opting for whiskey instead. At back of the plane.
I turn back around to look at the ladies behind me.
"All of y'all can get off, she" I gesture to Aaliyah "can takeover this flight."
"Sir-" Zion protests
"Well, move out then, I've got a company to run."The plane takes off soon after, as we begin to cruise, I constantly call Aaliyah for numerous random things. At this point she has bought me four extra blankets and refilled my glass thrice in the past fifteen minutes. I the button on my seat for assistance again, she comes with the same patient forced smile and politely asks me what I need.
She comes back with the bottle of whiskey I asked for her to refill glass.
"Sit." I say as she turns to leave. She pauses but pretends not to hear me.
"I said sit." I repeat. Letting out an audible sigh, she moves back to stand in front of me.
"Sit." I motion at the seat opposite me. Hesitantly, she stiffly sits down.I pour her a glass of whiskey like the last time we were together.
"I don't drink when I work, sir." She refuses the liquor.
"Drink." I say.
"I don't-"
"As your boss, I am telling you to drink."
She still doesn't take the glass I'm holding out for her.
"I don't like repeating myself." I warn.
She takes a small sip and places the glass back down."Let me fuck you."
She looks at me unimpressed. Picking up her abandoned glass she downs all its contents. So much for not drinking on the job. I stand up, looking down at her as she glares back at me. She takes in a sharp breath when I caress her face lightly.
"Can you not take no for an answer?" She shoves my hand away.
"Not really, I'm used to getting what I want." I twirl a lock of her hair around my fingers.
"And you want?" She pulls my hand of her hair.
"You." My fingers play with her lips.
"Keep wanting." She pushes me out of her way, making her way back to her place at rear.I chuckle, emptying the rest of my glass. I walk towards her again, determined to get her this time. I find her making something by the small kettle on a shelf among other things. I stand against the wall opposite her. Simply observing the way she moved to collect what she needed, not noticing me behind her.
She turns around as she hears the cups I pushed off the counter break as they hit the floor. She gasps, her eyes wide as she sees me but she quickly regains her composure.
"There is no need for you to be here, sir." She states
"I don't need a reason to be here, I own the plane." I smile. She rolls her eyes and turns back around.
