Hazel's POV

We arrive at the Malfoy Manor, walking inside as Amelie ran up to us.

"Mummy! Daddy!" She squealed.

"I was just putting her to bed." Narcissa said, walking over as Lucius appeared behind her.

"We were actually wondering if we would keep her up another couple minutes? I think it's time to tell her about the baby." Draco said as Narcissa squealed, clapping her hands.

Draco laughed, taking her over to the sofa as Lucius and Narcisss followed, I hung back behind a little.

"Hazel, darling sit down." Narcissa said as I nodded, sitting next to them.

"So, I know you've been confused about why mummy's belly's been growing." Draco started as Amelie nodded.

"You're a bit too young to really understand, but there's a baby in mummy's tummy." He said as Amelie turned to me, looking at my stomach.

"I don't see it, daddy?" She said, turning back to him as Narcissa and Lucius laughed.

"No, sweetheart. You can't see it but the baby is a girl, you're gonna be a big sister." Draco laughed.

"But when will it come out?" Amelie asked.

"In just under 3 months, so not very long." I said and she turned to me.

"You're gonna have a little sister." Narcissa said as Amelie giggled.

"Can she sleep in my bedroom?" Amelie asked.

"When she's a little bit older then yeah." Draco said, playing with Amelie's hair.

"Now come on, let's get you to bed." Lucius said as Amelie sighed, jumping off the sofa and racing him up the stairs.

"Does anyone want a drink? I got some delicious new wine yesterday." Narcissa said, walking into the kitchen.

"Mother." Draco rolled his eyes as she turned around.

"Oh, Hazel I'm so sorry I forgot!" She said.

"Don't worry about it." I laughed.

I felt the same fluttery feeling in my stomach.

"Draco she's doing it again." I said as he looked over at me.

He sat closer to me, placing a hand on my stomach and laughing.

"Mother! Come here quick!" He shouted as Narcissa came running over.

"She's kicking." He said as she gasped.

I took her hand, placing it on my stomach as she smiled.

Lucius came down the stairs.

"Love! The baby's kicking!" Narcissa squealed, jumping up and pulling him over.

"Here! Feel!" She said, taking his hand.

"Oh I don't know if I should-" Narcissa placed his hand on my stomach.

"Oh.." He gave us a faint smile which he was clearly trying to get rid of.

"I'm really sorry to like ruin this whole moment but I'm about to pee all over your sofa." I said as Draco shot up, helping me up as I laughed.

"Are you okay, love? Do you need help?" Narcissa asked, following me to the downstairs bathroom.

"I'm fine, thank you." I laughed, locking the door behind me.

I sat on the toilet, pulling down my underwear when I spotted a stain of blood on them.

"Oh.." I breathed, unable to take in what lay before me.

I finished what I was doing, laying a large amount of tissue onto my underwear as I pulled them back on.

I walked back out, trying so hard to pretend nothing happened.

"You guys should stay for a while!" Narcissa said, boiling her kettle.

"Oh actually-" I started.

"Yeah, we'll stay for a bit." Draco interrupted.

"Draco I need to talk to you." I whispered, standing behind him.

"Can it wait an hour?" He asked, not looking at me.

"No, it can't." I said as he turned to face me.

"What is it? Tell me." He said, placing his thumb on my cheek.

I looked over at Narcissa and Lucius who were arguing at the other end of the kitchen.

"I'm bleeding." I said as his mouth opened a little.

"W-What?" He stuttered, placing a hand on my stomach.

"Could you take me to the hospital?" I whispered as he nodded, taking my hand and leaving without saying another word.

We walked into the emergency room, a nurse came over and guided us to a room.

"Are you the one that made the call in advance?" She asked, turning to Draco as he nodded.

"Right, okay. And you're nearly 7 months?" She asked me.

"Yeah." I sighed.

"Alright get on this bed for me please." She said, patting a bed as I climbed onto it, laying down.

"And was it a heavy blood flow?" She asked, putting the gel on my stomach.

"No, not really. It was more kind of..larger spots of it." I said as she nodded.

5 minutes later

She passed me a tissue as I wiped the gel off my stomach, sitting up.

"Alright so I'm going to get a doctor in here to confirm from that video I just took, he should be a minute." She said, leaving the room.

A doctor came in shortly after as Draco clutched my hand, tight.

"So, I have good news and bad news." He said.

"Good news first." Draco interrupted.

"The good news is, the baby is alive and well." He said as we both let out a sigh of relief.

"The bad news is that I have your due date, September 12th yet your baby is in an awkward position, hence the fact you were bleeding. The risk right now is that she could be born any day due to the high risk of premature labour and the way she is positioned." He said.

"What are you saying exactly? What are her chances?" Draco asked.

"I'd say she has a 40% chance of living and a 60% chance of...passing. I'm sorry I know this is hard to hear." He looked at us both sympathetically.

"Can't we like..turn her around?" I asked.

"I'm afraid not, it's too dangerous at this stage of your pregnancy. I'd say rest as much as possible." He suggested.

"And would I have to have a C-section or could I still deliver her naturally?" I asked.

"Oh you can still deliver her naturally like any other baby, her birth may be quicker than others as she's smaller than we'd like but if there are any complications nearer the time then we may have to resort to a C-section." He answered.

"So she could go into labour any day now? It's too early, she's only just turned 7 months?" Draco said.

"Yes, you want to keep your baby in there for as long as possible so I'd refrain from sexual intercourse and from exercise. Just lay in bed and relax, try your best not to get stressed." He answered.

"Any more questions?" He asked.

"No..I don't think so." Draco sighed, sitting back in his chair.

"I'm sorry." I said, turning to Draco as the doctor left the room.

"Hey..this isn't anybody's fault." He said, kissing my hand.
