"i kind of expected this.."

i say to myself, holding the pregnancy test with two lines on it, showing me that i am 100% pregnant. me and clay never asked each other for a kid, but here we are now. i decided to drive over to em and nicks house to ask them for advice, since em has a child of their own.

"oh! hey y/n! what are you doing here?"

my best friend em asks me, holding their little girl in their arms.

"oh, i was just wondering if i could talk to you? i need help with.. something."

i ask em, as they smile. they pull me inside and sit me on the couch.

"hey b- oh, hey y/n, do you two want something?"

i hear sapnap ask me and em, as i shake my head.

"so em.. i wanted to ask you about something."

i fiddle with my thumbs, making em smile.

"what's up?"

"well.. erm.. how do i put this. i'm.. pregnant."

i mutter, making em gasp and sapnap stop typing on his computer.

"you WHAT?!"

sapnap yells, running to the living room. ems daughter just giggles.

"i'm so happy! so you and clay-,"

"ssssshhhhh!! we don't talk about that.."

i blush, making em laugh and sapnap smile.

"well, does clay know?"

em asks me, as i shake my head.

"well, maybe get a cake? or a gift?"

em says, as i nod my head. we continue talking until i decide to head out to the store to get a few things.

"hm.. what about.."

i mutter to myself, thinking of what to get. i decide on a cake, and a little f/c stuffed animal. after checking out, i hear my phone go off. i answer the phone to hear a voice i hear almost everyday.

"hey baby, where are you right now?"

my boyfriend asks me, as i sigh.

"i'm out at the store right now, where are you?"

i ask back.

"i'm just heading home, i should be there in about 45 minutes?"

he tells me, as i put the grocery bag in the back of the car.

"alright, i'll see you then?"

i ask him, as he responds.

"mhm! i love you~"

he drags out, making me blush.

"i love you too. see you!"

i exclaim, hanging up with him.

i set up the cake and toy on the kitchen counter, while putting the pregnancy test beside it. just then, someone opens the door.

"hey baby, i'm home!"

clay exclaims, making me smile. i run over to him and hug him, taking his hand over to the cake.

"what's this?"

he asks, making me giggle. he takes the pregnancy test, making his eyes go wide.

"you're.. pregnant?"

he asks, as i grin.

"surprise!"

i exclaim, as he pulls me into a hug.

"i'm gonna be a dad! oh my god!"

he cheers, making me smile.

"come on, let's call everyone and tell them the news!"

clay picks me up and brings me over to the couch, making me giggle.
