Prologue Pt 1

Diva's P.O.V.

I looked out the window as the plane flew above the sky. I moved back and forth from my seat, my legs swinging below me. I couldn't stop moving. I was too excited. I can't wait for this new island getaway! I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!

I never liked the city much. No one was nice to me there, especially the city representative. He'd take any chance he could to bully me. Hit me with his net, make me fall into pits, sometimes he'd even completely ignore me when I needed help....

I shook my head and put on a determined expression.

"Snap out of it, Diva!! That life is behind you now! On this new island....awaits a new life!! Things are going to be better here. In fact, I might even make some friends here! Yeah!" I cried. I stood upright, throwing a fist in the air. "This new island is gonna love me! Just watch it-"

The plane took a sharp turn and I yelped, falling onto the floor with a thud. I groaned, feeling my eyes swirl from the fall.

"Hey! You need to sit back into your seat. We're almost there. Wouldn't want you getting hurt before we even land." Wilbur the dodo said sternly, looking over his shoulder. He was the one piloting the plane and taking me to this new island. I laughed nervously and went to sit at my seat. "Yes sir...." I murmured as I sat back down and strapped on the seat belt.

I again looked out the window, and gasped in excitement. There it was, right below us! The new island! Sure, it looked a little....wild. There were trees and weeds everywhere, and not a single building in sight. The closest thing I saw was a little green tent. But, that's okay. That doesn't mean it won't be fun to explore! I look forward to looking around and camping here. It's gonna be great!

It felt like forever before we finally landed, and I could hardly keep still in my seat. I unstrapped my seat belt and grabbed my bags, looking to Wilbur. He glanced at me before turning off the ignition and opening the door.

"Be careful stepping out." he said. I nodded and ran out the door. The moment I stepped outside, I could smell the ocean breeze, making me sigh happily. It smells wonderful, like a brand new day! 

"Ah, you must be Diva."

I looked over to the front of the dock and smiled. Standing there to welcome me were three tanuki. Two of them were smaller than the one in the middle, who was a little taller than me. All three of them wore cute, green hawaiian shirts. 

"Hi. You must be....don't tell me...Tom Nook, right?" I asked. 

"Yep, that would be me. And these two here are my assistants, Timmy and Tommy. The three of us will be in charge of the Residential Services tent, which we'll show you a bit later." he replied. I nodded. "Cool. I gotta say, this looks like a nice island to live at. It'll be nice to start a new life here." I said. Tom nodded. "Indeed, exactly what our thoughts were. With any hope, we'll have lots more people move in here, and even build our own community here." he said.

"Uh, so, does this place have an island representative or something? Like most cities and towns do?" I asked. If there was one, I was a little worried to meet them, after my experience with the last city mayor. 

"Ah, yes, there is. She's a wonderful girl named Gabby. I'm afraid she's not here for today though. She's been quite busy in other places, so she'll only get to visit the island and help out once in awhile." Tom Nook replied. "Oh okay. Good to know." I said.

"Did the other guest arrive, rerack?"

I looked past Tom Nook in surprise. A monkey started to walk over towards us. He had orange and yellow fur, a blue tank top with white dumb-bells on it, and a pair of black eyes. He looked to me curiously. "Is she the new guest?" he asked.
