Diva's P.O.V.

I waited impatiently at the docks, pacing back and forth excitedly. I just wanted these new villagers to come already! I wanna meet them! I wanna know what they'll look like, and what personalities they'll have! I can't wait to meet them!

"Relax, Diva. They'll be here any minute, rerack." Flip replied. I sighed. "I know, I know. I'm just really excited to meet the new villagers! We haven't had anyone new move in for a little while. And I wanna show them around!" I said. "I'm excited too. It'll be cool to make some new friends. Hopefully they'll all be really nice." Flip replied.

"Is there anyone specific your hoping will come live here?" I asked. Flip looked a little taken aback, but placed a hand on his chin.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. Honestly, I think I'd be happy with anyone. Just so long as they were friendly." he replied. "Yeah, I think I feel the same. But a part of me is hoping one of the new neighbors will be a girl. I haven't had a girl chat with anyone in awhile, ya know?" I said. Flip nodded, then he looked to the screen and perked up.

"Hey look! There's the plane!" he said. I shot my head up to look at the sky. Just like he said, the plane was coming this way. I jumped up and down with excitement as it slowly descended from the night sky, and carefully landed near the dock. Flip and I patiently waited as Gabby left from the airport, looking to us happily.

"Alright guys, ready to meet our new residents?" she asked.

"Absolutely!" Flip and I stated. Gabby nodded and looked to the door, gesturing for someone to come out. The first to come out was a tall lion. He wore a blue and white striped shirt, had golden fur, and a big brown mane. You'd expect lions to be kinda scary or intimidating. But this guy gave off the exact opposite vibe. In fact, he looked very laid back, giving us a slightly lazy but friendly smile.

"First we have Rex." Gabby said. Rex nodded.

"What's up, cool cat? It's nice to meet you both." he replied. I walked over to him and shook his paw. I smiled. "Hi there, it's nice to meet you too-"

"ARE THEY HERE?! I WANNA SEE!!"

Suddenly a penguin shot out from the airport, a huge smile on her beak....but she ended up bumping right into Rex. They both yelped in pain and fell on their backs, swirls in their eyes. Gabby, Flip and I all perked up. "Whoa! You both okay?!" Flip asked in concern. A sheep left the airport in a rush, but her eyes widened when seeing Rex and the penguin.

"Sprinkle! I told you not to rush! You need to be more careful!" she said. The penguin, whom I assumed was Sprinkle, groaned and rubbed her head.

"Owie...my head..." she murmured.

I rushed over to Sprinkle and helped her to her feet. Flip did the same with Rex. "Are you both okay?" I asked. "Yeah, I think so," Sprinkle murmured, blinking a few times before looking to Rex with wide eyes, "Oh gosh! I'm so so so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you, Rex! I was just so excited, and I wanted to meet our new besties! Can you forgive me?" she asked. Rex gave his head a small shook, but then his friendly smile returned.

"It's alright. No damage done, cool cat." he replied. Man, he really is chill. Sprinkle sighed in relief.

"Thank goodness." she said. She looked to me and smiled sheepishly. "Hehe, sorry about that. Guess that's one way to make a first impression, frappe." she said. I giggled. "It was certainly the most interesting one." I stated. Sprinkle was actually very adorable. She wore a light grey winter sweater, had light blue feathers, and a white underbelly. Her beak was a light orange color, and her black eyes had a sort of sparkle to them. It matched with her upbeat and energetic personality.
