Prologue Pt 4

Rex's P.O.V.

A few more exciting changes were happening to Caledon. Gabby has been asking us to help make the island look better, which many of us were happy to do. We started with a few small flower patches in the main plaza area. We even added nice fencing around it to make it look better.

"Let's see, is this enough stones we'll need for the fountain?" I asked, showing the stones I had to Flip. He looked at my little collection and nodded. 

"Yep! That's perfect! That should be just what we need." he said. We were planning on building a park on the left side of the island, and we wanted to include a water fountain to it. "What else should we add? We gotta make sure this place looks fabulous!" Lopez stated. "Well, what else can we add to the island? What other attractions do we want? It's our home after all, so we can decide, as long as Gabby is okay with it." Diva said. The six of us villagers were in the main plaza having a meeting and deciding on our next course of action.

"The park should be ready soon. We just need to wait for the more stuff to come in through the mail. Like the jungle gym, the sandbox, and the pool." I replied. "Any have any other ideas on what we should do?" Diva asked. Stella looked down at the ground shyly, hands behind her back. I looked at her curiously. She looked like she wanted to say something, but was too shy to.

"You got any ideas, Stella? You look like you wanna say something." I said. Stella's eyes widened as all attention was shifted to her. She blushed and looked away for a moment, but then she opened her mouth to speak.

"Um, w-well, I-"

"Whoa, look! The plane is back!" Sprinkle said, pointing to the sky. We all looked up as the plane came closer to the island. It slowly descended from the sky, and landed by the docks. "I wonder why it's here? Is Gabby coming to visit?" Lopez asked. Flip's eyes widened. "OH! I just remembered! There were two new empty lots nearby the park. Maybe we've got some new residents!" he said. That's when everyone looked at each other excitedly and rushed over towards the docks.

Once we arrived that's when we saw two new villagers exit the airport. One was a red elephant, who had short purple hair on the left side of his head, and wore a black and yellow jacket. The other was a hot pink monkey, with a yellowish underbelly and wore a light pink sweater. The two of them perked up upon seeing all of us.

"Oh, hello. I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome." the pink monkey said, giving us a friendly smile. "I suppose you guys are the other residents on Caledon?" the elephant asked.

"Yep. Sorry to rush up to you so suddenly. We were just curious if you are moving to the island. We haven't had anyone new for about a week." Diva asked. "Yep, we heard this was a great place to crash, so we thought we'd check it out. The name's Cyd. And this pretty one here is, uh, it's Nana, right?" the elephant said, looking to the monkey. Nana giggled and nodded.

"Yes, that's me. It's very nice to meet you all. Thank you for letting us stay here." she said.

"Of course! The more the merrier!" Sprinkle said. She walked up to the front of the group and gestured to us. "To keep things brief: this is Diva, Flip, Rex, Stella, Lopez, and I'm Sprinkle! I know it's a lot to remember, but don't worry, you'll get the hang of memorizing us all." she said. Nana giggled while Cyd kinda blinked in confusion.

"Uh, gee, I hope I can. I'll do what I can anyway." he said, laughing nervously. I smiled. They seemed pretty nice. I looked beside me and tilted my head. Flip was frozen, almost as if he was in a trance, staring right at Nana. He didn't saw anything and just stared at her in awe. I looked between the two and chuckled, nudging him.

"Uh oh, did cupid's arrow strike you?" I said, intentionally saying it a bit loudly. Everyone looked to us, causing Flip to blush bright red. 

"H-Huh?! I-I uh, well I-I mean, I-I just-"
