Jessica finished with the last dish and began drying them so that she could place them back into the empty cupboard her mind went funny, she got angry for no apparent reason, her head began to ache, and her mental state changed. She had never had this happen to her; it was a very strange feeling. However, she continued drying and placing the plates into the cupboard, after she had finished the pain got more intense, it was like her brain was being boiled, Jessica then suddenly went upstairs to make sure Apollo was safe, she walked in through the open door and watched Apollo playing for a short while. She didn't seem happy this time, or at least that's what Apollo thought, she no longer had the sparkle in her eye and no longer seemed happy, it was as if his mum had changed in a matter of minutes. Sam was still in the living-room watching her cartoons, she was happy, like always. After sometime Sam began to hear shouting and banging coming from upstairs, she didn't take any serious notice, I mean she was only nine, she pressed the volume up button, each press bringing her more joy, she saw the characters on the TV dancing to the music and was pleased, her smile got bigger and bigger. "You little shit, who the fuck do you think you are" – That's what Sam heard her mummy saying, although her mummy never swore, she took no notice, she was too busy watching the characters on the TV singing in happiness. Sam stood up and made her way into the kitchen, she was thirsty and needed a drink, she made her way to the useful fridge and grabbed an almighty strawberry juice carton, she ripped the straw off the side, and inserted the plastic straw, some of the juice escaped out the hole, then the final thud followed from upstairs, Jessica continued swearing. Innocent, calm Sam continued to mind her own business, and she walked back into the living room, and this time decided to sit down on the floor next to Chanel, both Sam and Chanel seemed to be a bit out of place with Jessica swearing, but stayed together.
