"Are you sure we're not too old to do this, Michelle? For Christ's sake, we're almost twenty-six!" Clare said in the car.

Her, Orla and Michelle were on their way to James and Erin's house to pick them up. Clare was in town for the weekend, and she knew Erin and James' needed a break from their two-year-old 'menace' of a daughter, so she had suggested karaoke night at the pub. She had a hard time convincing Erin and James' to leave Clara for the night, but they finally convinced them that they needed a night out.

"No, Clare. We're in our twenties! We're supposed to be living it up. Not our fault Erin and James decided they'd rather get married. The only reason you think we're too old is because they have a full-on family. This is what normal twenty-five-year-olds do!" Michelle gagged.

"Whatever, Michelle. You're just jealous that your 'dick' of a cousin has found a soulmate... while you have yet to. " Orla chuckled from the back seat. Michelle responded by sticking her tongue out at her, which she saw in the rear-view mirror.

Meanwhile, at the Maguire's James and Erin were fussing about, trying to get everything in order for Mary, who was babysitting for the night.

"Are we sure we're okay with leaving her for this long?" James said, pulling on his shoes. "What if something happens?"

"Relax, love. We deserve to enjoy ourselves. She'll be fine with mammy."

Mary walked in from the kitchen, drying their dishes. Clara was already fast asleep in her room upstairs, as it was about 8:30.

"Ma, just ring us if anything goes wrong. Anything at all- we'll be there in a flash."

"Don't worry, Erin. You too, James love. Everything will be fine- I've raised two we uns. You enjoy yourselves."

Erin and James nodded, just in time for Michelle to swing the door open on their cobblestone home. "Who's ready to par-tay?"

James and Erin looked at each other.

"Your wain will be fine, you two. Now let's go. It's karaoke night!"

Erin and James squeezed in on either side of Orla in the back seat of Michelle's car, who chatted the entire way about what songs she's going to sing. Michelle talked about how she was going to find new man at the karaoke bar, and Clare updated the group on how she was almost done her PhD in Dublin.

"So how is my little niece Clara?" Clare said. "Her name just reminds me so much of mine, I can't help but think you kind of named her after me." She squealed.
