Silence. It was so quiet in Laurent's office that you could hear a pin drop. The two of them sat watching each other for a few minutes before Laurent swiped his hand down his face and let out a deep sigh. He looked back at Dei'ani and he could see the nervousness in her eyes. "Dei'ani, I'm flattered that you feel that way about me but we can't get involved with each other. Do you not remember the no fraternization policy that we have here? Even if I wanted to, I couldn't get involved with you. And I'm pretty sure my girlfriend would not be happy with me if I did. I'm so sorry. You're a very sweet girl and under any other circumstances, I would be all in but I can't. Now if you'll excuse me, I really need to get back to work." Laurent slipped his reading glasses back on and leaned over the work on his desk. Dei'ani was stunned as she sat staring at him until she remembered her reason for coming into his office. She stood to her feet and moved toward the door as Laurent glanced at her retreating form before dropping his gaze back to his work until he heard the lock click into place. Laurent looked up to see Dei'ani once again moving towards his desk. He frowned before beginning to speak. "Dei'ani, what are you doing?" Not saying a word, Dei'ani moved to stand right next to the desk. She reached for the arms of his chair and turned him to face her. She bent over placing her hands on his knees and lightly pulling them apart. Dei'ani moved to stand between Laurent's legs as he looked up at her in surprise.

He knew he should stop this, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it for some reason. As Dei'ani leaned over him revealing a bit of cleavage, Laurent couldn't help but take a peek. When she began to speak, his gaze was quickly pulled to her face. "I haven't forgotten about the policy but I just had to tell you how I feel. I came in here to tell you that but I also came to tell you something else but I've decided to show you instead." Laurent's eyes widened when she gently gripped his face and placed her lips on his. As soon as their lips touched, Laurent immediately placed his hands on either side of her neck as he deepened the kiss. These were the lips that invaded his dreams every night and their softness was something that he couldn't forget. As he held her, he glanced down at her cleavage again and he could see something quite familiar peeking over the top of her blouse. At that moment, he knew that this was the woman he was meant to spend the rest of his life with. Laurent let his hands slide from her neck to her hips as he pulled her closer as the kiss continued. Dei'ani moaned and slowly stepped back. She stood gazing down at him before giving him a small smile. She turned and headed for the door. When she reached it, she unlocked it and turned to give him one more glance before silently slipping out of his office.

Laurent didn't know how long he sat at his desk lost in thought but the brisk knock on the door had him sitting up straight in his chair as the door opened and his brother walked in. "Hey Lau, how are you? Are you feeling alright?" Laurent sighed and scrubbed his hand down his face. "I'm fine Larry, why do you ask?" Larry studied him for a minute before dropping into the chair across from Laurent's desk. "Because I can sense that something is wrong, I can feel it. You act as if you forget that we're twins and can feel each other when something's not right so tell me, what is it?" Laurent sat with his head in his hands for a few minutes before raising his gaze to his brother. "I don't really know where to start Larry. How do I even start to explain ?" Larry frowned as he scooted to the edge of the chair. "Lau, just tell me what the hell is going on! You're being super confusing right now." Laurent moved from behind his desk and began pacing. "It was all a lie, Larry. Everything was one big lie. She's been lying to me this entire time!" Larry watched his brother move around his office, pacing like a caged animal. Larry moved to stand in front of him.

"Lau, what are you talking about? Who lied to you?" Laurent turned to him and Larry could see the tears in his eyes. He walked over to his brother and wrapped his arms around him. As he held him, Laurent began to explain. When he was finished telling him everything, Larry was looking at him like he was crazy. "Lau, how could you work with her and not realize that your girl and your secretary/assistant were the same? She never said anything or did anything that would make you suspect anything?" Laurent glared at him before dropping his gaze to the floor."There were a few things that sat in the back of my mind but I couldn't put my finger on them. But today when she kissed me in my office, I knew. I could never mistake the feel of her lips on mine. And she told me her name was Moema, why would she lie about that?" Larry had moved to stand in front of the window but he now turned to look at his brother. " I could think of a few reasons. The policy would be one reason why she wouldn't tell you the truth. Another reason could be that she was afraid to say anything to you for fear of you rejecting her. Laurent think about it, in the entire three years that she's worked for you, has she ever lied to you about anything?" Laurent looked into Larry's eyes before shaking his head.
