It was only Tuesday now, only another three days of tiresome school left until the next weekend to arrive and just eight more for the masquerade. Boscha's hours seemed to be prolonged by feelings of guilt and worry, and to her the days would only get longer.
If only she could be wrapped up again in a certain someone's arms right now, but her conscious mind screamed at her not to go running to Willow all the time. Boscha had this constant need to be near her, but she couldn't, it was risky to be seen with her. For quite some time now the potion witch had tried her best to empty her thoughts ridden with flowers and all the things that reminded her of the dark-haired girl. Obviously it was useless, so Boscha came to the drastic decision to separate herself from Willow. It was for both their own good, or so she thought.
Willow didn't pay any notice to her absence at first, she just marked it off as the girl being too busy somedays or too tired after grudgby. She still waved and smiled at her while passing through the halls, but the plant witch noticed there was a tint of sadness in those piercing blue eyes of hers. Willow tried meeting up with her multiple times, but the potion witch only showed up to quickly tell her that now wasn't a good time and immediately left right after. Even when answering texts Boscha kept her replies short and simple. At that point Willow knew something was up, the pink-haired girl was practically almost always on Penstagram. So why was she acting so distant?
A few days had passed. Willow had talked to Amity and Luz, yet they didn't quite understand what the problem was. They both figured that Boscha really was just busy. Amity even went as far to ask Skara about it for her. The potion witch had been seen at the grudgby fields early before and even hours after practice. Luz hated seeing her friend like this, so she tried her best to cheer Willow up.
"Willow you're worrying too much!" Luz began walking beside the plant witch after school. "She's probably practicing so much for the grudgby play play-offs. We can go to one of the games and you can talk to her after."
"Yeah true... Thanks Luz. I really do worry for no reason sometimes." Willow still felt a little upset, but she didn't want to ruin the mood. "So, did you go over to Amity's to pick out an outfit?"
"Yep! She fixed up one of Edric's suits so that it would fit me, and she added some fancy embroidery on the sleeve's cuffs too! I didn't know she was so talented, I mean yeah of course she is, but she surprises me everytime! How about you?"
Willow chuckled to herself, if Amity was here to hear that she would have stopped functioning. "I went over with Gus just yesterday. He got to borrow this really nice gray suit. Edric kept calling him 'little lad' though, it was funny. I picked out a light greyish-blue dress, it has some really cute flowers along the hem."
"I bet you'll look super nice in it!" Luz excitingly said. "Oh, is Boscha still taking you to the party?"
"I- I actually haven't talked to her about it, or at least she hasn't talked to me..." Willow said with a sigh. "It's fine though, I can ask Gus."
Luz gave her a comforting side hug. "Aw, that sucks. What a jerk! I'll knock some sense into her at the party!"
"Don't jump to conclusions Luz! I'm sure she has a reasonable explanation..."
"Willow, I'm starting to seriously doubt Boscha after all of this." Luz made grave face. "Yeah sure she might be busy, but there's still plenty of time for her to talk to you. Boscha is always checking her phone- I mean scroll, so why doesn't she text you?"
The plant witch crossed her arms. "I'm not sure. Maybe it's her parents? I know Boscha's heart is in the right place!"
"You have to talk to her." Luz said as she shook her head.
