Chapter : 3 - Crimson

"Kashish! Wait!" I heard Vanessa call out my name when I was leaving the stadium and I had to turn back.

"Sorry, I have to be somewhere." I answered her when Qais, Celeste and she approached me outside the stadium.

"It's okay, uh- actually Kashish since our team won the game there's gonna be a party tomorrow, evening. And we want you to come." She said and I nodded.

"Great. I'll text you the address. It's at Kian's place." She said her face lighting up with excitement.

"Okay." I said. And Kian, Rhys and more of his team walked to us.

"Hey babe." Rhys said pulling Vanessa to him from behind and nuzzled his nose in her neck. And Kian hugged Celeste pecking on her lips.

"Uh- stop." Vanessa playfully slapped Rhys and he gave her a wounded look.

"You really hurt me sometimes." He pouted and she kissed him with a smile.

"Uh- Kashish, this is Kian Williams. My boyfriend. And Kian, this is Kashish." Celeste said shifting my attention back to them and I gave them a small smile. Meeting eyes with Kian.

"Kashish." He said my name out like it was the most delicate thing to say. His hand reached out to shake mine and I took it. His grey eyes took a moment to study me and he smiled.

"Have we met before? You seem familiar." He said in his silky voice and I smiled firmly.

"Might have." I whispered and tried pulling my hand away from his. But his grip was tight on mine.

"Couldn't have forgotten someone like you." He whispered back, His brows furrowed.

Couldn't have. So you still remember Kian. You do remember me. For someone who's been living next door for years, you do remember.

Is it just an instinct Kian? Or you do actually remember me from something you shouldn't have? Or do feel it too Kian? The connection, the pull.
You can't help it, could you?

"Uh- Kian, I think we should go. You promised you'd take me out on a date remember?" Celeste spoke up wrapping an arm around him and he pulled his arm back.

"Right. So.. uh- I'll see you. Um.. you can come to the party. Actually.. it's at my place, I'd be happy if you are there. See you." He said flashing his signature smile that any one could fall for.

"I'll be there." I said and Celeste dragged him away.

"So uh- Kashish, meet Issac." She said and a guy just as tall as Kian with same brunette hair stood infront me with a wide smile.

"Hi." He said and I nodded.

"I should get going." I said to Vanessa and with a tiny frown forming on her lips she agreed.

"See you tomorrow, Kashish." She said with a smile and I left.

The walk back to my home was quick. I slowly unlocked the door and entered. It smelled like tobacco when I got in. I held my breath as the smell already made it difficult to breathe. I took off my shoes in the foyer and I made my way into the living room.

"Kashish!" I heard my name and turned to see my aunt slouched on the emerald green sofa. The room was dark but I could see little light coming from the window as the curtain was pulled back a little. I couldn't make out of her face as the room was clouded with the smoke from her cigar. The sight of her made my forehead sweaty. I took a step back hitting the dark wooden cabinet behind me and the brass vase on it clattered. The sound made me shiver violently and she laughed.
