"Dead?" Qais said and I looked at him in confusion.
"Why would you say that you dummy!" Isha said running to him and threw her arms around him and squeezed him in her embrace. Qais smiled and I trained my eyes at them.
"God! I'm so happy that you are okay." Isha said pulling away and looked at him taking in his face properly.
"I-I am h-happy too." Qais replied.
"Qais, I must say you turned out to be really handsome. I always thought you are good looking though." She chuckled and I just stared at them.
"What are you doing here?" She asked him and he finally spared me a glance.
"I- I'm K-K-Kash-ish-h's classmate. I-I came t-to see her." He said and Isha looked at me.
"Oh. That's great." She said looking at me. "How do you, Kashish? I heard you were drunk out of your senses and fell."
"Oh." I said. I couldn't get any other words out of my mouth. Qais looked at me and I instantly looked away, I didn't know how to explain him things.
"With the history your family has, you shouldn't be getting drunk like that, your dad is very upset." Isha said and I nodded.
"S-She did-not." Qais interjected. As I looked at him to see his eyes burning. He had a hard expression.
"What?" Isha asked him and he moved closer to me.
"She w-was not d-drunk." He said with a hard voice and I bit my lip.
"You were there in the party?" Isha said and Qais nodded to her.
"Kashish?" My dad's voice was heard and I turned my head to him.
"So, you've been discharged and you can come home. But Love, I have an emergency surgery here in ten minutes. I can't take you home. Your aunt will take you and stay with you." My dad said my heart picked up it's pace.
"Papa-" I said my voice barely audible.
"I'm very sorry, Love. I don't want to leave you like this but-" he said and I spoke putting myself together.
"It's fine. I understand." I said and my dad nodded with a smile.
"I'll be back to you soon." He gave me a reassuring smile and walked away. And I sat quietly as the nurse detached the tubes from the back of my palm.
"I'll get going now. I'm tired. See you Qais. And take care Kashish." Isha said and went out letting out a yawn.
"You should go home too." I said turning to Qais and he took a seat pulling the stool closer to my bed and I looked away.
"I-I'm taking y-you h-home." He said and I turned to him suddenly arching my brow.
"What?" I said and he took my hand in his. I gasped at the electric tingles spreading through his touch and I gazed into his dark intense eyes.
"I'm t-taking you h-home." He said I almost smiled.
"Thank you, Qais. But you don't have to-" I said.
"But I-I want to- to." He said and I sighed nodding.
"I'll w-wait out-outside, get c-changed and m-meet me." He said giving my hand a squeeze.
I bit my lip and quickly tried to get up but winced at the sharp pain in my left ankle. Qais reached to hold me and I clutched his bicep supporting myself.
