Chapter : 6 - Sounds Like A Heartbreak.
All these years I have been watching Kian Williams, I pretty much thought I was invisible. I mean, I wasn't that dumb or an idiot to keep an eye on him out there in public. I've taken care not to be seen. But seems like, I wasn't that invisible. Atleast not to her.
Today, I could see something else in her eyes. The curiosity, desperation, jealousy and insecurity?
Well, it wasn't like I was the only girl watching him. You agree with me right Celeste? You had an eye on him for an year before you dated. The difference is, you made it quite obvious. While I chose to be hidden, am I right?
After your breakup, you didn't completely forget him. Did you? You kept tabs on him. And you still do, right? Or else how'd you know he dropped me off? You never set your foot in the campus before nine ten, do you? As you always made it a habit to be late. And brush it off saying you're fashionably late. I do know a thing or two about you too Celeste.
What is it Celeste? Why is a girl like you so desperate, or maybe I should say insecure about her boyfriend? C'mon Celeste, you were the queen in high school. And you still are the pretty, popular porcelain doll who glides like a goddess on ice. Aren't you Celeste?
Why would you still not trust your boyfriend when he chose you again, after you guys broke up in the past. Are you insecure about his feelings for you Celeste?
And why would you be insecure about me Celeste? Me?
The not so popular nerd girl Kashish. You are everything I'm not Celeste. But yet you are here out of jealousy and insecurity aren't you?
"Listen you b-" she said with her icey cold piercing gaze as I looked straight into her pale blue eyes.
"A-All ok-ay?" Qais said moving beside me and I let out a breath.
"Yes." I turned to him and said and he gave me a tiny smile.
"Kashish, how do you feel now? Jesus, it must be hurting." Vanessa asked trying to get a closer look at my temple.
"It doesn't hurt." I said with a masked expression.
"Are you sure? I don't think so." She muttered to herself. And just then the professor entered the class and Celeste left shooting a warning look at my direction.
I quickly shifted my attention back to the professor and didn't let Celeste to invade my mind. The lecture was of two hours and I've written down the notes. And after two long hours of lecture, I packed my notes and pens and stood up to leave.
"Kashish." Vanessa called and I turned to her.
"Yes." I said and she gave me a smile.
"May I borrow your notes?" She asked and I thought for a moment and pulled out my black note book and handed her.
"Thank you, Kashish." She said I just smiled. It has already been ten minutes since the break started and I walked out of the class with her.
"You wanna have lunch with us at the cafe opposite?" She said and I shook my head biting my lip.
"No, I have some work to do." I said and she nodded in some thought.
"Okay, whatever you say. But if you want to find me we're right there." She said and went away.
Having a lunch with Vanessa and others meant seeing Kian. But again, it was seeing a lot of people. And, moreover I'm not hungry. I walked to the other side of the campus to the hallway of old concert hall. My mind kept going back to Celeste and Kian.
