Yaman's joy

Seher woke up to a soft whimper coming from her side of the bed. She turned and rubbed her eyes. A small figure was planted on the cold wooded floor holding her small hand to her eyes. Her husband was still fast asleep on the other side of the bed.

"Anne (mommy)," the three-year old whimpered. It was still early in the morning, but the sun was already shinning bright outside. Seher sat up and pulled out her arms for the small girl to take. She had her father's dark hair, but her head was filled with glossy curls like her mothers.

"What is it my dear?" She whispered to not wake up her sleeping husband. The little girl hugged her mother and gave her a soft kiss in the cheek. Seher smiled.

"I'm hungwy," she mumbled letting out a yawn, before she wiggled her way in between her mother and her father. There was a groan coming from the sleeping giant, who opened his eyes slowly and met Seher's. She smiled before both their gazes fell on the charming little girl who was now holding her father's arm.

"Baba (daddy), let's go eat."

Her father nodded with a soft smile before planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Has your brother Yusuf woken up?" He asked, as the little girl stood up on the bed.

His daughter shook his head and looked over at her mother.

Seher was already up.

"Let's change you my darling," her mother told her, stretching out her arms.

The little girl nodded, her green eyes shined so bright just like her mothers. Yaman turned around still tired. He heard Seher's footsteps as she walked to the bathroom. It took them a while to get back, but by that time he was already up.

Seher was still wearing her pajamas, but the joyous little girl was already dressed.

"Look Baba, isn't this skirt pretty?" She twirled, swaying her blue skirt with a cheery laugh.

Yaman nodded, "Beautiful."

His eyes fell on his wife who was looking at their daughter with her usual loving eyes. The children were her greatest gift and joy. It sometimes made him a little jealous, as childish as it sounded.

"Anne, I will go show it to sister Neslihan."

Seher nodded.

"Be careful dear," she shouted as the little girl ran out the door. Yaman was intently staring at her with those big puppy eyes of his.

Seher tried not to chuckle at his antics, "Mr. Krimli, I think we should get ready for breakfast."

Yaman groaned. While their daughter had ran out the door, he had managed to slowly make his way towards her.

"Today," he began circling his arms around her small waist. Seher looked at the ground shyly. Despite being married for so long, it still made him feel so happy that she still loved him as much.

"Yes?" She turned her head towards him, staring at him intently with those big green eyes of hers. He smiled, trying to come up with the words on his very excited head.

"After you come home from helping Kiraz, can we go on a date?"

Seher nodded,"Yes. We can. Of course, the kids have to be asleep, especially..."
