Ali looked over at the instructions a second time before looking back at Yaman who was still trying to place the baby lock correctly. "I don't want to burst your bubble, but I think that there's an issue with the crib."
Yaman looked at his brother annoyed. "It's not wrong," He said, not bothering to discuss the matter any longer as he adjusted the lock.
"We have an extra part, and I'm sure that this isn't some duplicate of sorts," He told him handing it over for his older brother to see.
Yaman looked at the left over part and then over at the crib. It had taken them about three hours to install it, his back ached and he was hungry. It hadn't even crossed his mind a few hours before that it would be so time consuming to baby proof the room.
"Let's fix it later," He told him before turning toward the door. Just before he opened it, there was a soft knock. It was Seher. She was wearing an apron that barely fit her body. Her stomach was round and she seemed to have trouble breathing correctly because of the baby.
"You look tired," Ali told her. Yaman grabbed the tray from her hands and placed it on the coffee table.
"I'm just a little out of breath, its harder to walk the stairs nowadays." She told him.
"Sit." Yaman said, though it sounded more like an order. Seher looked at her husband's furrowed brows and decided to comply.
"She's growing fast. I remember that she was quite small the last time I saw you. No wonder, Yaman is so moody," Ali joked. Yaman didn't really find the joke funny. However, his brother was right. His mood had been all over the place. Seher was his priority and he wanted to keep her as safe as possible while she was pregnant.
He had hired bodyguards to go with her everywhere. He barely got any sleep at night, but it was all for Seher's sake. He wanted to protect her and the baby.
"He's just sensitive because of the baby," Seher told Ali, her hand landed on top of her husband and she offered him a reassuring smile. The smile was enough to melt away the tiredness. He smiled back at her and sighed. She was happy.
"I'll get Cenger to help me with the crib, you two should go out and take a stroll. That way, this one," he said, motioning to his brother, "Can get some fresh air and calm down a bit."
Seher nodded. "Yes, let's do so." She said, standing up. She tugged at Yaman's hand and he stood to go with her.
The breeze was cool outside and he offered her his sweater. "It's getting cool, I don't want you to get sick. Take it."
Seher nodded and took it. It smelled like him. They walked in silence before he decided to speak. "Do you really think that I'm being too sensitive?"
Seher looked at him and smiled, "A little bit," she said with a soft chuckle.
"But it's cute. I don't mind it."
Yaman nodded with a smile. He held her hand tighter. There was no way, he could ever love anyone else. Seher would always be the woman he would love, even if she stabbed him a million times, he would never love anyone else. That was his destiny.
"I love you," he said. Seher looked at him and smiled. "I love you too."
They walked through the garden in silence. The only sound came from the wind, the warm breeze caressed their skin and brought with it the scent of Ziya's flowers.
They were about to head back inside, when Seher looked over at her husband. Yaman looked at her with a soft smile, that later turned into a frown. Her forehead was dripping with sweat and she was having a hard time breathing.
"The baby is coming," she managed to say. Her hand tightly gripped his.
"Goodness, the baby is really coming Yaman!!" She shouted in pain. Yaman tried not to panic, but it was getting hard. "Guards!!" He shouted.
Two of his men came running toward them. "Yes, Mr. Yaman."
"Bring the car, we're heading to the hospital." He said, before picking up Seher in his arms and walking toward the front of the house.
It was early in the morning, the family was waiting outside. Cenger and Ali both looked at the passing nurses waiting for news. Eventually, Yaman came out. He looked happily at them.
"How are they?" Ali asked. Yaman smiled, "They're both doing well."
"Congratulations Yaman bey," Cenger said with a smile.
"Thank you, Cenger."
Ali smiled with joy. Kiraz walked up to them, "Can we see them?"
"Seher is resting, but as soon as she wakes up we can go back in and see her. I'm going to go and get Yusuf."
"I'll go with you," Said Cenger.
Kiraz looked at Ali with a smile, "I'm so happy for both Seher and Yaman bey, they have a little darling."
Ali smiled at her, "I think we should try for our own soon,"
Kiraz looked down blushing, while Ali took hold of her hand. "We should start when we get home,"
"Ali," Kiraz said trying to hide her red cheeks.
"Come on, let's go home. Visiting hours aren't until later. Let's go home and try for our own little bundle of joy." He said, leading his wife toward the elevator.
---
"Cenger," Yaman called from the baby's room. Cenger came in a few minutes later.
"Did you and Ali manage to fix this?" He asked, pointing at the crib. Cenger nodded with a smile. "Yes, Yaman bey, we did."
"Good," he said letting out a sigh of relief.
"We should go to the hospital now, Seher is probably waiting for us." He said.
