My head lulled back and forth as I began to regain awareness and feeling in my limbs. I swallowed dryly, my mouth and tongue as dry as the dessert sand. My eyes felt laden with quick dry concrete. I blinked hard against the dull hazy blackness trying to focus. A hand gripped beneath my heavy head before a bottle was pressed to my lips. I gulped down the nice cool water feeling it travel down my throat and into my belly."Are you feeling better Lula?"
"No."
I turned away from the direction of his voice; unable to see him in the pitch dark of the cavern room. I didn't want to talk. Not about the panic attack nor about seeing the dead cruor. I wanted to forget about it all. A shiver shook me and I huddled into myself. A large warm hand pressed against my aching spine. A simple comfort that I was thankful for while in such an awful state. I scratched relentlessly at the underside of my wrist, a constant itching burning sensation beneath my reddened flesh. Scratching day and night, for the past few days angered the itching further. It was nearly unbearable at times. Without warning his hand clasped my raw wrist and I yelped in surprise, quickly becoming irate at the contact.
"Let go! What's wrong with you!?"
"ENOUGH! Look at your wrist!.."
Olmuras turns my arm and I now notice the raw deep scratches that had broken the skin easily. His clawed fingers smeared the blood as he pulled my arm towards him. Tugging back on my arm it twinged in pain making me stop instantly.
A sudden dizziness washed over me and my sight grew hazy. For a moment I felt like I was dreaming or maybe even drugged.
His jaw opened allowing his elongated tongue to slither out towards my out stretched arm. The memory of cruor corpses sprang to mind and I pulled back once again. Harder now, fighting his strange effects on me. A sense of panic infiltrating my cells. Olmuras's golden eyes shot towards me; his predatory gaze filling my being with an unsettling sudden calm. The mellow warmth of his gaze blooming in behind my eyes migrating throughout my body until I no longer felt in control.
Olmuras carefully reached out, once again, taking hold of my hand turning it over as droplets of scarlet leaked steadily. His tongue wrapped around my hand, wrist, and forearm lapping up every ounce of blood upon my burning membrane. The pulsing pressure of his wet hot twisted tongue around me began to ignite a deep sultry passion. And for a moment, just one single moment, I wished he'd touch my body, scratch me with his claws and allow his tail to flourish across my tender limbs.
Olmuras retracted his tongue breaking away from me and rashly leaving the room. Listening quietly to his steady steps, I calmed myself. Olmuras entered the room carrying something. A box? The condoms?! I thought but as he sat in front of me opening the box I promptly regretted my prior idiocy. He mumbled something about which bandages to use but I stayed quiet; just nodding to his words. While feeling a deep embarrassment settling in as I held out my arm for Olmuras to place the bandage on.
The tense awkwardness between us was stifling. I cleared my voice, the sound uncomfortably loud and I blushed. Olmuras began to open and close his mouth as if to casually break the awkward silence but nothing came out at first.
"Are you feeling better?"
"I'm fine...but ummm...why did you lick my scratches?"
"It was bleeding profusely, my saliva has unique healing benefits...You also gave off such a sweet smell...I could not resist. I apologize for my rudeness Lula" His voice trailed off as a shameful look flooded his exotic features, making him turn away.
The first aid box snapped closed.
I rose my now bandaged wrist to my face and took a sniff, a metallic scent drifting through my nose."Did it really smell that sweet? Because it smells just like metal and you know, blood"
"It does to me... I should not have done such a thing to you especially when you are not well...Please forgive me?"
"Of course"

One week later ~Since there has been so many misunderstandings I decided to make sure to set some ground rules between us. Sadly the list continued to grow as accidents between us continued to happen.
1. Don't touch each other without consent.
2. Do not come into the bathing area and bathroom if the other person is inside.
3. If the need for blood arises, Olmuras is free to go alone but must notify me before leaving.
4. Daily perimeter checks of the cave and area around the cave must be done for safety. With our simple rules the days passed quite quickly and without much trouble. Although the amount of animals had gone down drastically because of the constant snow storms, we still had the bear meat that I had smoked and dried out. It was almost like a type of unseasoned jerky.
Reaching up I stirred the soup, stopping to toss in a few more dried herbs and mushrooms. Latching onto my spoon I took a sip.
"It's bland.."
A long sigh expressed itself from my lungs. I missed the summer soup it's aromatic fragrance and robust flavour. The winter soup was a far cry from the other and a thought came to mind."I haven't gone out in awhile for supplies.." I mumbled absentmindedly.
"Are we out of food?"Olmuras's voice boomed from across the room; his tall muscular bodice in only a towel. Its light colouring drawing your eyes to his toned midsection.
"Ugh put on some clothes already! You know I hate it when you walk around like that!""Yes my apologies" he said hands raised in defeat. Snatching a shirt and pants from the pile of men's clothes; he turned back to leave. He stopped in the doorway glancing over his shoulder, a more serious expression on his face.
"It would be safer if I went with you?!""We've already had this discussion Olmuras! You are staying here. Period."
We ate in separate room's. Our disagreements in scavenging was one of the only real problems we had with each other. The first time we left together had not gone as planned.
