I sat by the open flames in utter befuddlement. I'm running out of supplies. How could I have forgotten to check my supplies! Groaning loudly for the umpteenth time today. Olmuras entered the room carrying all of what's left of the bags. Placing them on the floor he continued to make the short trips back and forth until nearly everything was in an unorganized pile a couple meters from the fire. Stopping I took a breath.
"We have a lot of stuff...Is there anything else?"
Olmuras left, lazily checking each room until I here him come back in.
"This was the only remaining bag. It was beside the entryway in the corner.... It seems to have been unmoved for sometime."

He quickly unzipped the small black bag and began handing me the contents. I sat back a little confused as I looked over the items, listing them off aloud as I wrote them down.
"Three large bottles of hard liquor, vodka, rum, and whiskey...A pair of men's hiking boots...A flair gun, with one bullet. A big box of condoms...Two navy bras with matching underwear...A pack of razors... and a clip of bullets? .... is there anything left?"

Olmuras pulled out the last item. A handgun.
I blinked rapidly as I stared at the black sleek hand gun. Carefully taking it from his grasp, making sure the safety was on.

"Well that explains the clip" I laughed.

I set the pen and notebook aside. Snatching up the red hiking bag and loaded in the guns, clip, liquor and condoms. Making sure to put them in the common area where we could get them easily if ever needed. Then I began to cook the rest of the raw meat. As the smell of the meat wafted around the room a thought came to mind.

"Olmuras?"
"Yes Lula?"
"Umm...are you alright? Like....umm...I haven't seen you drink any blood at all so...?"
"I have not partaken in any blood since arriving but I have been adjusting fine."

I sighed annoyed that he didn't bother mentioning that we should go out, to get some blood for him.

"I'm not afraid you'll hurt me but if you're hungry you NEED TO TELL ME!!"

"I understand..."

I mumbled irritatedly as I pulled on my boots and grabbed the heavy winter jacket. Olmuras stared at me curiously, not making a move to do the same. Stopping by the door, axe in hand, I aggressively made the 'Common' motion. Olmuras stood in the doorway of the living room, a bewildered expression lacing his misty face. I face palmed as the realization set in that the 'Common' motion wasn't something Olmuras knew.
Laying down the axe I stomped to the sorted pile of clothes and pulled out the white mens winter jacket; tossing it to him. My steps stamped the stone flooring as I grabbed the pair of men's boots; dropping them in front of Olmuras. Pinching the bridge of my nose I said "This motion-"
I swung my arms slowly demonstrating the 'common let's go' motion.
"- is the let's go motion. People normally use it as a nonverbal way to say Let's Leave. If it's done aggressively it means for the person to hurry to get their stuff together so that they can leave somewhere or do something...Understand?"

"Yes...Like this, yes!?"
Olmuras made the 'common let's go' motion several times before I nodded and pushed the jacket that was laying of the ground into his chest.
"Oh and if I throw something to you make sure you catch it or at least pick it up"

He slipped into the jack and boots fumbling with the zipper. I stood by and watched him struggle for several minutes. Tapping his hands away I made a show of connecting the zipper and proceeded to zip it up to his chin. Once done with the zipper I immediately dropped to one knee and began to tighten and lace up the boots. They were a half size too big but were more than able to get the job done. After making sure Olmuras was all ready I stepped back to admire the hilarity of his appearance.

Olmuras was tall, about two feet taller than myself, at 7'5. Deep black velvety scaly skin, long arms, hefty hands, and long slender fingers that seemlessly melded into extravagant claws. Muscular legs, with an extensive energetic tail. He appeared very intimidating but coupled with his new boots, grey sweat pants, and the overly fluffy white jacket it all  made him look incredibly comical. I snickered more as Olmuras stood awkwardly rubbing his clawed hands over the water proof layer of the jacket making the swiping sound. Amazed by the sound he continued to swipe his hands back and forth, back and forth, and back and forth, over and over again like a toddler with his brand new winter jacket. Turning away with a grin I packed a small bag of hunting necessities as well as the rope for the six foot long wooden sled. I made sure to have Olmuras carry the sled as it was too heavy and awkward to hold for too long with my small weaker stature. We didn't talk as we walked together through the large passageways of the cave. About mid way through we took the tunnel to the right instead of the main passageway that led out to the river front. Instead we took the right tunnel and walked leisurely for about fifteen minutes until we came out too a small flat area surrounded by trees. It was where I did all of my hunting as the animals were much calmer here. And I have yet to spot one of those 'things' around here either.

The large mound of cave stood as a monstrous wall that stretched as far down as I could see. Separating the monsters and the blissfully safe woods that laid seamlessly untouched on this side.
