The promise of warmer weather would sometimes be the only thing urging the students of Hogwarts to endure the biting cold. Diane was cursing the terrible weather as she made her way down the snow-covered hill to care of magical creatures class. Her wet boots trudged in the crunchy snow and her breathing made it sound like she was fighting for her life.

"I hate it here," whined Sirius for the third time in the past 10 minutes.

"Well, everyone hates it too, Pads. Stop whinging and focus on getting to class on time," Remus snapped, busy pulling up his trousers so they don't get wet from the snow.

"Ah, Moony. Always the grumpy werewolf in the mornings," sighed James.

"Stop being so dramatic. God, it's as if I'm walking with bloody children," gritted out Diane, rolling her eyes. She had learned how to use 'God' like that from Remus.

"We have got to do something fun today, guys!" Peter exclaimed, seeming as if he had just gotten a brilliant idea.

"Why are you talking like that? You sound like that annoying bloke from Hufflepuff," mumbled Sirius, stomping in the snow.

"Padfoot! 'm just excited," came Peter's indignant shout. "Anyway, how about we make ourselves a fun day today, since it's Friday? We can listen to those new vinyls you bought, Pads! And then go bake in the kitchen or something. Maybe bring it back to the dorm and Diane can stay the night again!" suggested Peter enthusiastically.

Both Diane and Sirius turned a light shade of pink as they remembered what happened last time she slept over. They had an unspoken agreement that they would act like the kiss never happened; ignoring the amount of time the both thought about it. Sirius was slowly realizing that this agreement was getting increasingly harder to abide. However, he stayed silent on the matter.

"Hmmm, alright, then. Good planning, Pete!" praised James, throwing his arm around the rat animagus' shoulder.

"Yeah, it'll be a nice break from...well, everything. I definitely want to bake, too." mused Remus, finally calming down from his annoyed mood.

"Eh, I don't see anything interesting in your offer, Wormy," Diane admitted, raising an eyebrow.

"What? You love baking and Queen!" argued Peter.

"Well, I guess that's not what she's feeling today, Pete," shrugged Sirius, pushing his hands in his pockets.

"How about... we pass by Snape on the way back?" he suggested, the hidden meaning implied by his tone. Both Diane and Sirius broke out into evilly mischievous grins, the type that were concerning if you looked for too long.
