Chapter 21: Exile!

"What in the name of StarClan are those kits doing here!" Blackfoot yelled.

In Clawface mouth were the four kits from ThunderClan.

"Brokenstar ordered me to get them since..." he trailed off.

"Since I failed to do so?" He gritted his teeth.

He nodded, Blackfoot noticed he had blood on his paws and mouth, plus white fur in between his claws.

"Who did you kill to get them?"

Clawface bowed his head in shame, "Spottedleaf."

"You killed a Medicine Cat?! You Mouse-Brain!" Blackfoot snarled.

"I did what I was told, I follow orders so I don't die!" Clawface fought back.

Brokenstar walked over to them, "Good you got the kits."

"Leave us alone!" The little gray she-kit said shaking.

Brokenstar raked his claws over her, and she cried out in pain.

Blackfoot moved in front of him, "They'll be no use if their dead!"

Brokenstar and Blackfoot stared at each other, neither backing down. Clawface looked at them worried they would break out into a fight.

Finally Brokenstar turned away, "Take them to a nursing Queen" he growled and walked away.

Clawface took three while Blackfoot gently took the gray she-kit, "I wanna go home" she wailed.

"I know" Blackfoot grumbled and brought her to Russetfur.

"What are they doing here?" She asked as the four kits were settled by her belly.

"Brokenstar wanted them so he had Clawface steal them from ThunderClan" he explained.

"I didn't have a choice" Clawface mumbled.

"I know" Blackfoot sighed.

Russetfur began soothing the four kits, "I'll look after them."

Blackfoot went over to Fernshade.

"Fernshade? Are you alright?" He asked.

She nodded and they stood awkwardly not looking at each other.

"Good, good uh I guess I'll go see if Brokenstar wants me to do something" he said and began walking away.

"Blackfoot!"

He turned to look at her.

"I-I'm sorry. For blaming you for Badgerfang's death" she pinned her ears back.

Blackfoot slowly approched her, "I was my fault, I should have been watching him."

She shook her head, "I don't want our relationship ruined because of something I blamed you for..." She looked up and dug her face into his neck fur.

"I want my Brother back."

Blackfoot felt a purr rumble in his throat, "I want to have my sister back too."

They embraced each other for a while, enjoying the peace. Flintfang ran over and joined in.

The three littermates back up and smiled at each other, "Glad were all good" Flintfang said.

They laughed.

Blackfoot looked up at the setting sun, I got my littermates back.

"Blackfoot?" He turned around.

Tallpoppy was sitting there, "Tallpoppy what can I do for you?"

"Brokenstar stole ThunderClan kits" she started. "I feel something coming, something bad."

She looked at him, "Don't you feel it?"

Blackfoot sighed, "I've been feeling it since the day Brokenstar became leader."

Brokenstar had ordered Tangleburr, Stumpytail, Boulder, Clawface and Him to watch guard.

The air was crisp and cold. It tugged at Blackfoot's pelt.

Tangleburr smiled at him, "I can't wait to see your kits."

Neither can I he thought.

"Neither can I" he said to her and she purred.

Suddenly he heard a quiet snap of a twig.

Before he could react, cats bursted from the bushes in the camp.

They let out a yowl to alert the Clan, he caught the scent of a very framiler scent.

ThunderClan.

They were attacking to get the kits back.

Blackfoot quickly got into defence mode. He jumped at Whitestorm who was leading the attack.

The two fought for a while and Blackfoot realized they wouldn't back down. Blackfoot looked around and saw Stumpytail and Boulder running out of camp.

Tangleburr was pinned under... Crowtail!?

Blackfoot looked around and noticed all the elders were fighting on ThunderClan's side.

Horror gripped him as he was smashed to the ground by Whitestorm that Archeye and Hollyflower were driving out Tangleburr.

Hollyflower caught his eye and pain flashed through her and she ran towards him.

Whitestorm ran his claw down his side and blood splatered.

He yowled and got out under from him, Russetfur was standing at the entrance of the Nursery.

He face was full of pain. He took a glance at Hollyflower who scream, "Not Him!"

Then he looked at Russetfur who was standing outside of the Nursery with her big belly.

I love you he mouthed to her, then did the only thing he could.

Blackfoot ran away.
