Blackstar's Deputyship 2#

Chapter 4: The Gathering

Brokenstar jumped onto the High-rock.

"The cats who will be going to the Gathering are Blackfoot, Clawface, Russetfur, Boulder, Tallpaw, Darkpaw Wolfstep and Hollyflower" he anounnced.

Blackfoot went over to join Brokenstar, "Alright everyone is ready to go" he said.

Brokenstar gave him a nod of approval.

"Then let's head out!"

When they got to Fourtrees, Brokenstar jumped on onto the High-rock with Tallstar of WindClan, Bluestar of ThunderClan and Crookedstar of RiverClan.

Crookedstar...I need to talk to him about what happened with Mapleshade he thought and walked over to Tigerclaw.

The dark tabby tom was chatting with with Goldenflower, a pretty golden she-cat.

"Hey Tigerclaw" Blackfoot greeted his friend.

"Hey Blackfoot, what's Brokentail doing up there?" He asked.

Blackfoot sighed, "WindClan murdered Raggedstar, Brokenstar is our leader now."

Goldenflower's eyes widened, "Raggedstar lost all of his nine lives!?"

Blackfoot nodded, "Yep."

Tigerclaw tilted his head, "Who did he choose as deputy."

"He'll tell you" Blackfoot forced-sighed.

Bluestar stood up, "ThunderClan will report first, We have four new kits born to Frostfur, and Brindleface is expecting kits as well" she said then sat down.

Crookedstar stood up, "Willowbreeze, is expecting kits as well, and the fish have returned to the river."

Tallstar took his place, "WindClan has been well, and a few kitty-pets were chased of our territory, they seem to be coming to the forest often now."

"Kitty-pets should stay with their twolegs" Crookedstar growled.

"Enough" Bluestar said, "One more cat has to speak" she nodded to Brokenstar.

"Thank you Bluestar, I have terrible news, Raggedstar has died" he said sorrowfully.

The clans broke out in yowls of horror.

"I am ShadowClan's leader now!" He growled, silencing the cats.

"Brokenstar! Brokendtar!" The clans yowled.

He puffed his chest, and Blackfoot wondered if he was going to announced his deputy.

"ShadowClan greives for Raggedstar, but StarClan has blessed us, Newtspeck's kits have been born, and Fernshade is expecting kits. We have a new apprentice named Mosspaw" he explained.

Blackfoot and everyone else called out Mosspaw's name and Brokenstar began again.

"And Blackfoot is the new deputy of ShadowClan!"

Tigerclaw and Goldenflower whipped their heads to Him and he just grinned.

"Blackfoot! Blackfoot!"

He caught Crookestar's eye and the large tabby narrowed his green eyes at him.

Blackfoot did the same, and as Brokenstar closed the gathering, Blackfoot ran over to Crookedstar.

"We need to talk" he whispered.

Crookedstar swished his tail then whispered back, "meet me here tomorrow night."
