Chapter 5: Talking Things Out

As the stars rose, Blackfoot quietly snuck out of camp.

He ran through the forest, over rocks and the Thunderpath.

He slowed down when he got to fourtrees.

Crookedstar was there already, Blackfoot walked towards him and gave him a nod.

"Greetings," Crookedstar sneered.

"Greeting to you too" Blackfoot grinded his teeth.

"What is it you want to talk to me about?"

Blackfoot sat down, "Do you still train with Mapleshade?"

Crookedstar shook his head, "No, what about you?"

"Not anymore, I defeated her, and sent her back to the Dark Forest when she tried to hurt my mate" Blackfoot explained.

"She'll never be finished with you" Crookedstar said.

Blackfoot sighed, "I know, anyways Willowbreeze is expecting kits, are they yours?"

He nodded.

"Congradguations."

Crookedstar narrowed his eyes, "I this all you want to talk about?"

Blackfoot nodded.

"Then I got to get back to my clan" he said then walked off.

Blackfoot headed back to camp, when he got there, he curled back up with Russetfur.

"Wake up" Russetfur whispered.

"What?" He grumbled.

She eyed him, "you need to make a dawn patrol."

Blackfoot jumped up and went outside.

"Hey Clawface, could you lead a dawn patrol?" He asked the brown tom.

Clawface nodded, "Good take Stumpytail, Poppycloud and Cinderfur."

"Got it Blackfoot, are you going to send out a hunting patrol?"

"Yea only a few cats" Blackfoot said then walked over to Mudclaw.

"Would you like to lead a hunting patrol?"

"Yea, could I take Tangleburr with me?" He asked.

Blackfoot nodded, "And Birdfeather."

Once all the patrols were sent out, Boulder ran over to him, "Blackfoot Brokenstar wants you and Russetfur."

Blackfoot nodded and went to the warriors den and gently nudged her.

"What is it" she hissed.

He cuckled softly, "Brokenstar wants us."

Russetfur got up and they walked to Brokenstar's den.

"Brokenstar?" Blackfoot called.

"Come in."

They walked in and he was stitting there waiting for them.

"Have Tallpaw and Darkpaw finished their assesments?"

"Yes."

"Yes."

Brokenstar nodded, "Good tomorrow they will be made warriors, you two are dismissed."
