The stranger carefully placed Indu in a chair and tied her hands and legs so she can not run. The place looked like some studio apartment in a city. He went to the kitchen in a corner and prepared some tea for her.

He came back to Indu pulled a table closer and untied her hands and tied one of her hand to the table and brought the tea and placed in front of her "You can have the tea and let me know if you want more sugar" 

She was so pissed but the smell of tea calmed her nerves, also she can not hide the sense of safety being around this stranger. "My name is Deva, I know you for a long time now, I know you as Mitu and Indu and even the story of how you turned from Mitu to Indu."

"You followed us to the Doctors hut also, you heard us talk" Indu

"I don't know what you mean by that but be assured I am following you only from the falls yesterday, it is not like I don't know where you live but was just waiting for a better opportunity to abduct you."

"What you want from me" Indu

"For now I want you to drink the tea before it gets cold and we can talk later because we have all the time in this world" Deva. "And I can kill you in many ways but poisoning is not on the list, so be assured the tea is not poisoned."

I wanted to be alive and healthy so Badhri and Inba can find me in a good state. Thinking that she took the tea and sipped it, it gave her immediate strength and relaxation as always.

"You never change, will you? I don't know what this tea makes you feel but you seem so happy" Deva said with a smile and continued "I watched you prepare your first tea and you were around 15, sneaked into your warden's room you made a black tea and man you should have seen that  face, you felt like you achieved something"

Indu looked at that guy in shock "Even Inba don't know I did something like that, how do you know"

"Hey don't look at me like that I didn't watch over you all my life, that day I came to check on you and it was a coincidence that was a moment like that," Deva said resting his shoulder on the chair sitting relaxed. "I also saved you from drowning one day that is also coincidence and that same day I met a wise woman, she was the one who told me you are the key for my existence or something filmy like that and I should protect you by any chance"

"Is that Devi amma who told you that?" Indu said "and that means what she wrote may be correct," she said the second half more to herself.

"Yeah that woman only, you know I am not an obedient guy but even after she died I can not disobey her words, not even once. Now and then I feel the urge to go check on you so I will sneak out of my fathers' house to visit you and this time it seems different I felt you were in danger but when I came to you, you were having a romantic date with your partner" Deva said out the last word in frustration.

"Why are you jealous, is it because you don't have a mate," Indu asked teasingly.

"Yeah," he said straight forward, "I thought you would be my mate that is why the woman wanted me to check on you but no it was not like that and I searched everywhere for my mate but nowhere I can find her," he said in a sad tone.

"Oh, don't worry buddy you will find her soon but tell me why you are holding me here if you are this good of a person" Indu.

"Can you draw a line between good and bad after going through all those shit in your life." his voice seemed cold and painful but he regained his playfulness in a minute and continued "I don't seem to have a boundary,  for survival I have done a lot of things and you don't want to hear about that" Deva.

"Are you living or surviving" Indu questioned Deva with a stern look.

"Yes I am just living, to be alive I have to pay a price and I earn that by serving  people who are in power," Deva said looking straight into Indu's eyes "And they are the ones who never wanted you all to become a pack"
