I sat in a silk chair, staring at the doorway in the dark. It has been 3 decades since I started teaching and raising Hyperion, and his siblings. Primordial technology has advanced tremendously (AN Early 1800's Era), and I was given a manor to raise the Titans.
I currently sat in Hyperion's room, awaiting his return. He snuck out a few hours ago, along with some of his brothers and sisters, against my orders. Now, he was to be punished accordingly.
I saw the familiar glow of Hyperion on the other side of the door, and the door swung open softly. He didn't notice me, because he was busy making out with his sister; Theia. The door closed behind them, and Hyperion lit up the entire room.
That's when the both noticed me. "I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" I asked, a deep scowl on my face, glaring at both of them. They shrunk under my gaze, fumbling and stuttering to form proper words. "L-Lord P-Perseus. H-How long h-have you b-been there??" Hyperion asked, backpedaling slowly. Unfortunately for him, his back pressed against the wall.
"Long enough, Hyperion. As the eldest, I expected better from you. But, you instead join your siblings, wandering around the mountain, "redecorating" everything. Honestly, did you really expect not to notice you sneaking out?" I asked, my voice remaining creepily calm.
"Hyperion! Tone down the light! You'll wake Lord P...Hey," Oceanus said, coming in. He extended the 'Hey' awkwardly, as he noticed me in here. "We've been busted, haven't we?" He asked, hanging his head.
"What do you think? I got 2 calls from Hemera, 5 calls from Gaea, 27 calls from Tartarus, 34 from Eros, and 167 from Chronos and Ananke. Not to mention none of you know how to lie, and some remained here with knowledge of your sneaking out. Very cleaver with the pillows as your bodies, except that pillows don't breath. And the last thing, I wasn't asleep when you did it," I said.
The entire time, everyone was blushing, and all the culprits had gathered. I noted some pairings; Hyperion and Theia making out on their way in, Oceanus and Tethys coming in to scold Hyperion, Koios and Phoebe arm in arm, and Iapetus and Clymene blushing every time their eyes met.
Themis and Mnemosyne were in the doorway, hiding at the glares of betrayal from their siblings. "Themis, Mnemosyne. Return to your quarters. The rest of you; boys will begin excessive training in the morning, from sunrise to noon. Girls from noon to sunset. Those who didn't participate in this escapade have the day off," I ordered.
Everyone, besides the 2 girls at the doorway, groaned in annoyance. "SILENCE! You will handle this calmly and respectfully. I don't want to hear a single noise of complaint from ANY of you the rest of the night and ALL of tomorrow. UNDERSTOOD?!" I snapped at them. They all cringed, and nodded in understanding.
"Good. Girls, return to your own quarters. Guys, you as well. Until Sunrise, I will be patrolling your rooms to be sure that none of you are sharing. Am I clear?" I asked. They nodded, and went their separate ways.
"Sunrise, Boys. I already know Hyperion will be up by then. If you are not up a minute after Hyperion is, you're all going to know real pain," I warned, and left myself. For the rest of the night, I walked through the hallway of their rooms.
It was a simple, yet grand hallway, with dark planked floors, and marble/limestone walls. 6 on the left, and 6 on the right. My room was directly in the middle, with grand double doors crafted from Stygian Iron. On the left were the guys, with a symbol on their door, their name underneath it. Same for the girls on the right.
My room had the largest bed, a walk in wardrobe, and the most advanced bathroom in the house (despite the fact I have no require for a bathroom). It also had a large balcony overlooking the sea. The rest of the manor had a library, kitchen, commons, dining hall, and a game room where a billiard table and a golf course that leads outside, into the gated yard.
Time Skip; Birth of the King:
A/N It is 7,000 years in the past, roughly 2-3,000 years before the Gods first arrive.I stood in the doorway of my manor, awaiting the arrival of the 14th Titan. From what I hear, he is named Cronus for his gold eyes similar to his uncle, and his domain of Time.
After a few minutes, the Stygian Iron gates opened, and a limousine pulled up. "Lady Gaea, Lord Ouranos. Welcome to my abode," I announced to the 2 Primordial, bowing. "Perseus, please. No need for such formalities," Ouranos said.
"You are Gods, my friend. I bow out of respect," I replied for the 1,000th time. "Enough, both of you. Perseus, I have things to deal with in Tartarus. Husband," Gaea said, then with slight bitterness at Ouranos.
"Something wrong?" I asked, noting the fact Cronus curiously entered my house. "She got a little drunk, and tossed the Cyclops and Hundred Handed Ones in Tartarus. She blames me for it, having no remembrance of the transaction, and won't believe me when I try to explain," Ouranos sighed in frustration.
"I see. I will speak with her. Relax for now, my friend," I said with a smile, before retreating to my house. I walked in just as Themis and Iapetus stopped Cronus from breaking an expensive vase.
"He's a lot more than the others," Hyperion said, sliding up next to me. I looked up at him. "Reminds me of you, actually," I said, chuckling at his expression of disbelief.
"Cronus! The Vase is off limits from touching!" Themis scolded. "You don't tell me what to do!" He complained, sticking out his tongue. "Mommy said that only She and Per-something can order me!"
Themis gave me a pleading look. "Cronus, my name is Perseus. I am your caretaker and trainer while you grow up," I said, coming up to him. "Perseus...that's who mommy said. Wait, I have to listen to a pathetic weakling like you?" Cronus said, disgusted.
Immediately, Themis and Iapetus dipped out, hiding behind some shields the others got out. I just smiled knowingly at him. "1st Lesson: Manners, Discipline, Patience, and Etiquette. Shall we begin?" I asked kindly. He stared at me suspiciously, before nodding carefully.
I grinned evilly, frightening him. My hand clamped painful on his left shoulder, causing him to cry out in pain. In a flash of movement, we were in the backyard. Cronus was on his knees, clutching his shoulder, while I tested my sword 50 feet away.
"Get ready. If you don't learn vocally, I'll beat my lessons into you. You'll wish that fate'll save you, but I'm unbound by fate and time. Anything I do, Fate can't save you. Better learn quickly; no isn't an answer, and failure of compliance is a for sure way to get your ass kicked," I said, readying myself.
Cronus scanned the gathered crowd, hurt at seeing no faces of sympathy. His eyes locked with the youngest daughter, Rhea, and he was filled courage. She was sending encouragement, and I smiled at her. Cronus picked up twin daggers, and readied himself.
I readied myself, and said, "Begin." Instantly, he charged much to my disappointment. As he got within range, I lazily spun from his overpowered overhead strike, and knocked him down with my pummel.
"Again," I said with a yawn. He let out a feral growl, and charged again. He swung wildly at me, no skill at all in his posture, strikes, or handling.
I watched him in disappointment and boredom, only fueling his anger at me. I lazily blocked his daggers, no real strength behind it at all. With a little push, he fell onto his butt. "Oceanus, over watch his training. He needs a drastic increase in strength and stamina. Hyperion, speed and agility. Phoebe, Intelligence. Dismissed," I said, walking away.
I heard Cronus yell, and felt him charging at me. I turned, and caught his wrists. I twisted the daggers from his hands, and jumped up. I spun, kicking him away. I fell onto one hand, and flipped onto my feet.
"Themis, Respect and Honor," I added with a growl, stalking off.
