I emerged from the Othyrian Palace, into the garden beside it. It was a beautiful place, with flowers of every type I've seen here, even some from the dinosaur era.
"You must be Lord Perseus. An honor to be in your presence, milord," a Nereid said, bowing deeply. Iapetus' Son, Atlas, quickly followed the nymphs example. "Please, my name is Perseus. No need for such formalities. What is your name?" I asked.
"Pleione, milord," the nymph answered. "Well, Pleione. Atlas. May I speak with Hestia?" I asked. They nodded, and went to a more secluded area. I moved to sit on the bench, the titaness watching me intently.
"Hello. My name is Perseus," I introduced, smiling warmly. "Hestia," she mumbled in response. "A pleasure. Tell me, have the fates come and given you your domains?" I asked.
She shook her head. "One moment. FATES!" I called. The 3 flashes immediately came, signaling the arrival of the Moirai. "Hail Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth, Hope, Home, and Family!" They announced, and flashed away.
I smiled at the girl, then frowned at her terrified expression. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked kindly, scooting over to her. "I'm not a Titan. W-What if my dad doesn't like that?" Hestia asked, shivering in fright.
"Don't worry. As long as I'm by your side, nothing can harm you," I reassured, pulling her into a protective hug. "R-Really?" She asked. "Definitely. If you ever feel in danger, just come to me. After all, I'll be training you as I did your parents. I'll always be there to protect you," I said.
She smiled brightly, and snuggled into my side. Unbeknownst to either of us, Cronus was watching us, fear and hatred in his eyes.
Time Skip:
I stood on a platform, overlooking an arena. 3 kids were in heated battle; 2v1. The guy had black hair, and bulging muscles. He had a wild glint in his eyes, as he attacked his opponents ruthlessly with his spear.
The older girl was on the defensive, not taking a liking to the violence. She had charcoal black hair, tan skin, and fiery eyes. She blasted balls of red fire from her hands at the man.
The younger girl had gold hair, green eyes, and light skin. She wore a dress made from wheat and moss. She attacked the guy, dual wielding sickles.
They were evenly matched, neither able to get the advantage. After a few long minutes of the even battle, I had enough. "Hold," I called in a stern voice.
They all immediately halted. A fireball in one hand, 2 sickles ready to decapitate the guy, and a spear nearly poking the blonde's throat. "My one rule; No Killing. This can be considered just that, Atlas and Demeter," I scolded.
Blushes appeared on their faces, as they didn't move. They all stood frozen, waiting for my order. I analyzed them with a scrutinizing gaze, before sighing in content. "Break! Well done," I said.
They relaxed, and put away their weapons. "A little slow, Atlas. If you hadn't thrusted for Demeter's throat, you could've blocked both sickles. If you hadn't gone for his neck, you could've gotten a hit at his sides with a roll. Hestia, congratulations. You kept a good distance, and perfect cover fire. You have passed my combat training," I complimented.
Hestia jumped in joy, while her sister and cousin look down in disappointment. "Lord Perseus? May I speak with my son?" Iapetus asked, walking into the arena.
I nodded, and Atlas ran out with his father. "Demeter, continue repetitions. Try out the sword I had made for you, swordsmanship is a good combative technique that you could use," I ordered. The blonde groaned in exhaustion, but complied.
"Hestia, we begin your next step in training. I have a hunch that you will love culinary, like your mother. Let us test this, shall we?" I asked. She nodded eagerly, following me out of the arena.
"Perseus? A word?" Cronus asked, as we entered the palace. "I'll meet you in the kitchen, Hestia. Just give me a moment," I said, before walking over to the Titan King. Hestia nodded, and walked away.
"Another child is soon to be born. I am worried, as it seems as though I am bringing a new age of deities, and possibly bringing forth the end of the Titans. Iapetus has 4 Titans. I'm about to have 3 gods," Cronus whispered worriedly.
"Yes, the new age of Deities is coming because of you. However, did the Titans bring out the end of the Primordial? No, you lived amongst your parents and enjoyed life. Who's to say the same won't happen?" I asked.
"My concerns exactly. Who's to say what happened to Ouranos, won't happen to me? He cursed me on his deathbed, that I'd be dethroned the same way," Cronus replied.
"I do not know if that will happen. If it does, any action you take will still end in your demise. You are a good man, Cronus. Despite the death of my best friend by your hand, you are still a good man. Don't ruin your chances by doing something that destroys that title. May fate be on your side, my son. Have faith," I said, smiling warmly.
"Now, I have lessons to teach. Excuse me," I said, and left for the kitchen. "So long as my children are around, my end will come. I can't kill them, or kidnap them...unless..." Cronus said to himself, an evil grin on his face.
