I reformed right next to the party, but was too late. Percy and a homeless chubby man just gulped down 2 vials of Gorgon Blood. I sighed in relief as Percy started wobbling, sweating, and convulsing, and the man stood tall over him.
"You see now! I am much more favored than...you..." he tried, before clutching his chest in pain. His breathing grew raspy, and he fell to his knees. Percy, on the other hand, was standing taller and stronger every second, looking healthier than ever.
"No! NOOOOO!" He wailed, and turned to dust. "What was that about?" I asked, making the party jump in surprise. "Phineas. We got some information, and we saved him from some Harpies," Percy answered, his voice dry and hoarse.
I willed some water to form from the air, and swirled it into a ball. I hovered it in front of his mouth, and he drank it. "Better?" I asked. He nodded, breathing heavily.
"Good. Your memories should be returning soon, let's get back to the ship," I said, walking off. "Ok...wait, what?!" Percy called, stumbling after me.
"Gorgon Blood. The healing side brings you close to death, almost to the point of seeing Charon, before it brings you back. After all, your as healthy as possibly be in the afterlife, unless you gain Punishment," I explained.
His mouth formed an o, and followed after me, deep in thought. We rounded a boulder, coming to the docked yacht surrounded by giant cyclops and a giant. "Oh, Polybotes. Of course," I greeted, pushing Percy into hiding.
"A mortal? Pathetic," he muttered, promptly ignoring me. "Careful, Lord Polybotes. This could be the Earth King. There are rumors that he is an active ally with Olympus again," a female cyclops cautioned.
Terror flashed through the army, none more so than Polybotes himself. You could almost see the memories flash in his pupils. He shuddered, and leveled his trident at me defensively.
"I see you remember our last encounter greatly, Giant. I have no reason to engage, so long as you do not join in the coming conflict," I warned, summoning my broadsword.
His jaw started quivering at the sight of my blade, but he held strong. "I will not abandon my brothers, Lord Perseus. Nor will I disobey the will of Mother Gaea," he retorted, trying to sound tougher than he actually was. It didn't work.
I took 3 steps forward, causing his army to scramble over each other to flee from me. Even Polybotes took an involuntary step back. "By Chaos, Kronos is idiotic for not fearing you," Polybotes muttered to himself, searching for any way to escape.
"I do not have time for this, Polybotes. My job as Earth King is far more difficult than it was millennia ago. I will give you a warning, and send you on your way. Attempt to harm anyone loyal to Olympus, and you piss me off. I'll come for you, and I won't stop until your imprisoned for eternity or faded. The Sky, The Sea, The Earth, Underworld, or Tartarus, I will always find you," I warned, before blasting them away with a strong gust of wind.
I sighed from annoyance, and turned towards the hiding heroes. "They're gone, get on the ship," I ordered, sliding the boulder aside with a lazy wave of my hand.
"Was that all true? Not even the Pit would save someone from you?" Frank asked warily. "That is correct. I am the Earth King, I rule the entire planet. From the far reaches of the atmosphere, to the deepest depths of Tartarus, that is my domain. The only way to escape me is by going beyond this world, into the stars, or by jumping into the Pit of Chaos beneath Tartarus," I explained.
"There's something deeper than Tartarus?!" Frank exclaimed. "Not really. The Pit of Chaos is a plane of darkness and energy, similar to jumping into a black hole. Anyone would quickly perish, and soon enter my creator's realm; The Void, Realm of the Faded," I explained.
Frank clutched his head, and ran after the rest of the party. I snapped my fingers, and the bridge started retracting into the ship. I raised my arm, and a giant wave separated us from shore.
"Hold on to something!" I called, before using the wave to send us a couple hundred meters into the sea. I flexed my entire body, and the ship roared to life. Autopilot was re-engaged, and the engines roared to life. The Weapons systems activated, and 2 torpedoes shot off to our port-stern.
"What was that?" Percy asked. "That is......was a sea serpent. No need to worry," I answered calmly. He nodded, and retreated to the poolside. I extended my senses, finding Frank and Hazel heading to one of the game rooms.
I retired to the bridge, and tuned into a radio channel by manipulating the air currents and the radiation in the air, so I had the channels directly in my ear.
