I sat beside the hearth, Hestia tending to the flames beside me. A shadowy Iris message showed the scene of the gods fighting Typhon, as he trudged towards Olympus. "They won't stop him in time," Hestia commented, not looking away from the flames.
"No. No they will not. I will deal with Typhon once he reaches Olympus, but we have more pressing concerns," I replied. The scene shifted to show the Titan army marching into Manhattan. The screen split, to show Hyperion leading a group through the Lincoln Tunnel.
"They're outnumbered," Hestia stated sadly. "At the moment. The Cyclops will help once Oceanus is defeated, and Hades will aid soon enough," I replied. "Many will die before then," Hestia retorted. "That is the horror of war. Some will die, and not even I can stop that," I explained.
"I wish we could do more," Hestia stated, looking down. "What do you mean?" I asked. "The Ancient Laws forbid us from interfering with Mortals," Hestia explained. I stared at her, before snapping my fingers.
The screen shifted to show the Primordial in their thrones. "Is there an ancient law preventing the meddling of mortal lives from Immortal beings?" I questioned.
"Yes and no. Immortals cannot attack mortals unless provoked, immortals cannot interfere once a mortal's string is cut, but there isn't one for direct relations," Chaos answered. "Thank you," I replied, and returned the screen to viewing the Titans.
"...Zeus lied. Oh, he's in so much trouble when he returns," Hestia spat, eyes flared in anger. I chuckled softly, and ruffled her hair. She pouted at me. "The Battle has begun, I am need at the entrance," I said. I summoned my armor and weapon; a giant cleaver, and my shield. I turned into mist, and reappeared in front of the Empire State Building with the Hephaestus kids.
"Ready the Catapults and Trebuchets!" I ordered. "What else? We got a minefield armed and ready, and spiked trenches. Catapults and Trebuchets are fully stocked, and targeting main entry points. Our cavalry is waiting for takeoff, and the infantry is growing restless. Where is the attacking force?" Annabeth questioned from the command tent next to the Empire's front doors.
"Give me a moment," I replied. I snapped my fingers, and Ballistas formed in the street, and earthen pillars rose beneath them. Earthborn ascended to operate them. Towers rose up beneath some archers, with turrets protecting them.
"Alright. Ares, frontlines, wait on our side of the trench! Archers, be ready to fire flamed arrows from your vantage points! Aim high. Archers on the ground, aim low! Find the holes between their Shields and armor! Hermes, man the Ballistas! I want whatever tricks you got on those bolts!" I ordered.
"Hephaestus, operate Catapults and Trebuchets. When they get close, ready your hammers. Be sure to relay information to the command tent. Will! Got enough supplies?!" I called. He raised a thumbs up from the med tent.
"Your in charge. I need to get something," I told Annabeth. I disappeared in a burst of smoke. I reappeared in an airfield; a military one. "Boeing AH-64 Apache, now. This is a Othyrian level of requirement," I ordered to a cyclops major. "Right. And you are?" He asked suspiciously.
"Perseus, The Earth King. I am the leading commander in the defense of Olympus against the Othyrian forces. I have a few military grade vehicles stored here, hangar #3497," I answered. "Understood, Perseus. I will commission the takeoff procedure with the control tower," the cyclops replied, bowing slightly.
"No need. I'm just informing someone so I don't get a call about it later. The Mist will be fine," I replied, and teleported to the cockpit of the Apache. I then shielded it in Mist, and teleported us into the air over 34th St.
I began patrolling the perimeter, and patched the comms to the command tent. "You're in the Apache, aren't you?" Annabeth asked. "I am. No sign of the Othyrians yet, I'll keep you updated," I replied.
"Autopilot," I ordered. A cloud spirit replaced the pilots seat, as I went to the back to get a better vantage point. I mounted the machine gun, and scanned the ground.
"Sir, I have disturbance at Central Park," the spirit called. "Converge on the Park, let's get a good look at it," I replied. As we got closer, I could feel the heat increase. The helicopter swerved, dodging a giant fireball.
"Threat recognized: Hyperion, Titan of Fire and Light. Engage with Tartarean Ice," I ordered, and began firing Celestial Bronze bullets at his monster force. Missiles popped out of the side, and launched. It immediately targeted Hyperion, and 8 explosives soared at him.
He noticed them too late, and was hit full force. He was sent flying back into a building, stuck to his crater by a giant spiderweb of navy blue ice that steamed in the air.
"Son of Poseidon on sight, should I drop the payload?" The spirit asked. "Make sure you're dropping the payload marked with Fe and H2O," I ordered.
A second later, a large bomb dropped between Hyperion and Percy. It exploded into very impure water, enough to fill 2 Olympic pools.
"Control it, make sure all of it touches Hyperion only!" I called to Percy. He nodded, and thrust his hands out. The water rushed forward, crashing into Hyperion.
With a snap of my fingers, a red lightning bolt struck the water, electrifying Hyperion to a crisp. Suddenly, I was hovering in air as dust billowed around me. "What happened?" The spirit asked.
"Chronokinesis. Kronos accelerated time to turn our ride to dust," I answered. "Now what?" She asked. "Now, I join classically. Thank you for your assistance, you are dismissed," I answered.
I slammed into the ground, and my full armor formed on my. I looked demonic, dark enough that I could be a living shadow. Only my eyes could be seen, and they glowed with power.
"Get back to the main force, I will handle Hyperion. Kronos is heading there as we speak, and you must defeat him," I ordered. Percy nodded hesitantly, and ran off with the nature spirits.
I turned to Hyperion, and he gulped in terror. I released my aura, and his eyes grew to the size of jet engines. The air turned acidic and boiling, becoming so thick you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you. The ground began to bubble, and in the wind, started to ripple like water. Lava began in small streams, which became roaring rivers in a matter of seconds.
The city's sirens wailed, as I felt the tide roll back, a massive tsunami forming, just because the water was repelled by my aura. "Hyperion. Do you know why the Giants feared me so?" I asked quietly, but my voice echoed demonically, even over the deafening wails of the wind.
Lightning the color of Void flashed across the sky, with thunder louder than any sound I've ever heard in my life shook the entirety of Manhattan.
"You are about to find out," I answered, and burst forward, moving faster than any being could, except maybe Chaos. I could only see Hyperion's expression of absolute terror for half a nanosecond, before I crashed through him, and the 7 buildings behind him.
I turned to where I felt the 2 armies meeting, and smiled maliciously. "Let's see who's next," I stated, cackling evilly.
