Lisa Lavender said while being broadcasted live on the news station, VNN. A figure stood in front of a wall mounted tv with a coffee mug in hand as he stared at the screen, listening to her report.
Lisa Lavender: Though despite the valiant efforts of the Atlas Military and the students of Union Academy, it was thanks to five unknown vigilantes that the beast was taken down. Rumor has it that a two of the vigilantes were Providence's living weapon, Rex Salazar, and Robotic Global Defense Unit, XJ-9, who was thought to be shut down twenty years ago, but nothing has been confirmed so far. Who are these unlicensed heroes? And where are they now?
The white haired man picked up a remote and switched the television off before taking another sip of his hot beverage.

One of the headmasters of Union Academy, Ozpin, turned from the tv to the conference table in the middle of the room. Sitting at the table was another headmaster. Probably the most liked among the students, Nezu.

Nezu: Do you really think that what students said were true? That Y/n Tennyson is still alive?
Ozpin: Yang, Ruby, and Midoriya were best friends with Y/n when they were younger. I doubt that they would joke about their dead friend's wellbeing.
Ozpin states as he sat at the table.
Nezu: Perhaps, but...
Nezu trailed off, looking down at his paws as he was deep in thought. Ozpin took notice and spoke up.
Ozpin: Is something the matter Nezu? I thought you'd be more thrilled hearing that Y/n is alive.
Nezu then perked up and smiled.
Nezu: Oh no, I'm overjoyed that Y/n's still alive, vigilante or not.
Nezu's smile then faded away just as quickly as it appeared.
Nezu: I just wished we had done something sooner, when he was still a student here.
Ozpin quietly agreed with his colleague. In the past, Y/n had reported that he was frequently being bullied. They intended to do something about it, but were too caught up in their own work that they neglected him. This eventually led to him leaving Union Academy and disappearing off the face of the Earth.
