The next night, Luke went to Spencer's apartment as planned.

"Hi!" Spencer smiled, opening the door.

"Hey!" Luke entered with the takeout Spencer had ordered.

"Thanks for picking up the food."

"Of course."

"How are you?"

"I'm good. It's nice to have the weekend off. How're you?"

"Fantastic." Spencer laughed.

The two sat at the kitchen table to eat. Luke happened to see Spencer's copy of Crime and Punishment, and was reminded of the previous night.

"I did some reading last night." Luke smirked.

"Really? Which book?" Spencer's eyes lit up.

"Crime and Punishment."

"How far did you get?"

"I finished it."

"Really?"

"I was excited."

"Did you like it?"

"I did."

The two spoke of the book while they ate, and eventually moved to sit on Spencer's couch.

"What did you do today?" Luke asked.

"I read about this woman who had an allergic reaction to brazil nuts, but it wasn't a normal allergic reaction. Her boyfriend had eaten them three hours prior, showered, washed his hands and brushed his teeth, and she still had an allergic reaction. It turned out his semen was what had traces of brazil nuts."

"Really? I didn't know that could happen."

"It's not a common thing. There's very few cases documented of sexually transmitted food allergies."

"How does that actually work?"

"How does a sexually transmitted food allergy word?"

"Yes."

"It's most likely just a protein from the food is transmitted via seminal fluid."

"Do you have any food allergies?"

"No food allergies."

"Any allergies?"

"I'm allergic to Carbenicillin and I'm probably lactose-intolerant but I've never bothered with a diagnosis. Do you have any allergies?"

"Peas."

"You're allergic to peas?"

"Yes."

"You can't be in the army with food allergies?"

"I didn't know I was allergic."

"How'd you find ou- that's a dumb question, you ate peas."

"I don't remember what exactly I ate, but a few years ago I had an allergic reaction. That was the only time I've ever eaten peas."

"Really?"

"My mother didn't cook with them growing up."

"I don't really like peas."

Spencer pushed himself to sit crossed legged on the couch, facing Luke.

"Can I ask you something?" Spencer whispered.

Luke nodded.

"What was the army like?"

"It was alright." Luke answered.
