"a few days ago, i was talking to vinnie about his life back home and he started talking about his friends. i memorized one of the names and decided it would be a great idea to bring them here. her name's savannah and i had never heard of her before, but i figured she might be important to him, so i thought why not?"
thomas positions his camera in a pile of books in front of him and grabs his phone, opening the instagram app so he could show them his conversation with savannah.
"it took me a while to find her instagram username, but once i did, i requested to follow her and waited. thankfully, she accepted my request, so i sent her a dm, explaining who i am and how i was planning to surprise vinnie and that he had mentioned her and everything."
"but then, it gets tricky. she messaged me back saying she'd be down for that, but that her parents were really strict about her traveling without her best friend..." thomas explained to the camera, looking down a few times so he could see if he didn't miss any parts of her dm "i didn't really care about it, because when she said the best friend's name, i knew it was a name vinnie had also mentioned. but, she told me something else."
