⚔️Training with Xiao👺

At Nantianmen

I suddenly was so deep in thought about my brother that I didn't realize that we were already here.

"How long did I space out?!" I asked quickly.

"You didn't at all! You were just deep in thought, don't worry." Replied Ganyu.

"Y/N, you good, your face is a bit pink." Noticed Paimon.

"Are we there yet?" I asked, slowly drawing out Dawnbreaker, gripping it nervously.

"Yeah, almost, Adeptus Xiao's just up ahead." Replied Ganyu.

"Uh.... Y/N you look pale." Noticed Paimon, looking at me as she flew around me.

"No, I'm fine." I hissed in reply.

"Oh wait..." smirked Paimon.

"Paimon, NO!" I yelled quickly, telling Paimon to keep quiet.

"Okay, we'll talk about this later." Giggled Paimon behind me.

"Huh?" Asked Ganyu, looking back at us.

"Nothing, I'm fine." I replied, quickly.

"You're late." Hissed a voice.

Paimon and I almost jumped from Xiao's sudden, fierce voice.

The fact Paimon almost smacked into a tree after hearing Xiao's voice.

"Sorry, I was late by 2 minutes." Apologized Ganyu, calculating.

"I don't care, just get on with your training."  Replied Xiao, looking away.

"Yes, and what are we supposed to do?" Asked Ganyu.

"This training is designed for you to explore your power's potential and also your body." Replied Xiao, he then glanced at me, "you two decided to join her?!" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he directed his piercing gaze upon us.

"Just Y/N, I'm here to watch." Shrugged Paimon as she flew higher into the tree..

"Very well, you two are assigned to defeat 26 monsters that will be spawned across the Leyline Monolith, you must defeat them within the time limit." Replied Xiao.

Paimon fished out a tiny pocket watch from her pocket, "I'lll time them!" She replies.

"I can calculate time myself, but do whatever you please." Replied Xiao, ignoring Paimon.

"Okay!" Replied Paimon as she timed us.

Ganyu and I worked together as we defeated the monsters. She froze them first, then I let Dawnbreaker and my anemo power finish the attack.

Meanwhile

"Hey Adeptus Xiao, what do you think of Y/N?!" Asked Paimon next to him.

"I did not come here for idle chit chat." Replied Xiao as he walked away from Paimon.

"Jeez, he doesn't like talking, I guess." Mutters Paimon, and also continued, "why does she even like that cold-blooded creature like him?!" Whispered Paimon.

"I heard that." Hissed Xiao, glaring at Paimon. This caused Paimon to fly in the wrong direction and smacked into a tree.

Paimon luckily got up as she gripped the stopwatch and pointed: "Look they're back!"

That was a good save for whatever Paimon just muttered.

After training

"Well done you two." Nodded Xiao after we finished training.

"Right on time!" Paimon replies as she flew around the air and clicked off the stopwatch

"Your final assesment is dealing with mortals like him." Began Xiao as he suddenly looked at a man from down hill. The man whose coming up from downhill was wearing a fake yaksha mask.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Never thought a mere mortal can give Xiao a headache." Laughed Paimon.

"Think whatever you like, this is just part of Ganyu's training." Replied Xiao as he walked away to watch from a distance.

I didn't know to follow Xiao or Ganyu.

Maybe Ganyu, I won't be able to say anything to Xiao anyways.

The man who climbed up the mountain was just one of those worshippers I guess. Turns out he just wanted to ask for a blessing and Ganyu to grant him a wish.

After Ganyu with my help tried to explain that not all wishes require someone to grant for them and must be achived for hardwork, he finally left.

"He's finally gone." Sighed Ganyu.

"Yeah." I replied.

"You still can't get rid of the bad habit of interactions with mortals." Replied Xiao.

"I guess I'm not fit to be adepti." Replied Ganyu simply as she left.

"They tried." shrugged Paimon.

I gave Xiao a quick glance and left with Ganyu.

After helping Ganyu with searching the invoice, we headed back to Liyue harbor.

"See you around." waved Ganyu, "I'll try to make room for time for us to adventure some time."

"Sure, see you around." I waved as I left the red pavilion.

Paimon then later followed me to dine at Wanmin.

"Hey you two! You look exhausted." Noticed Xiangling.

"Went training today." I chuckled, "it helped because I feel my abilities and skill improved." I replied.

"That's good, here's your food! Enjoy!" Replied Xiangling happily.

I gave her some mora for the food.

Xiangling only took half of it, "dinner's always on me from now on!" She declares.

"Alright, thanks." I replied.
