Tristan entered a restaurant looking for someone, when he saw him he walks toward the table.
“Karl” he said. They shook hands
“Tristan” Karl said.
“Akala ko nasa States ka na? May problema ba?”
“Ikaw Trist, may problema ba?”
“Wa.. wala. Walang problema.” Tristan hesitantly answered.
“C’mon Trist. I know, di mo man sabihin alam kong may problema.”
“How the hell did you know?” his face turning red. He is angry now.
“I have connections” Karl said
“I don’t care kung paano mo nalaman. Kung mang-aa” he was cut by Karl
“I told you, kapag sinaktan mo siya, babawiin ko siya sayo. I have hurted her once. I thought hindi mo maga..”
“Hindi ko magagawa sa kanya ang ginawa mo. Lahat may dahilan..”
“Anong dahilan mo? Hindi mo na siya mahal? Ginamit mo na lang siya?” He is really angry this time
“Hindi ako tanga para saktan ang babaeng pinakamamahal ko. Ginawa ko lang ang mga bagay na pwedeng magpakumpleto sa buhay niya.” his voice rise
Karl is confused of what is Tristan saying. Tristan continues to explain himself.
“If you don’t want to believe me then sumama ka sa akin ng malaman mo ano sinasabi ko.”
They left the reataurant and headed to an apartment near Anderson’s residence. Karl is shocked of what he saw.
“Pare, wala akong balak saktan si Alex. I’m doing this for her to be happy, completely.”
“Tristan, I’m sorry. Hindi ko lang kasi kayang makita na nasasaktan siya. Hindi ko alam na may mga plano ka. I’ll be leaving her. Oo, kasama ko siya for the past 2 weeks. I’m giving her time to think things over. Kahit nahihirapan ako sa nararamdaman ko, I tried my best na wag mahulog sa kanya”
“Thank you for taking care of her.”
“Siguro mas maganda kung gawin mo na ng mas maaga lahat ng plano mo para maintindihan na niya lahat, baka dumating ang araw isumpa ka na niya dahil sa sakit na naramdaman niya.”
“In time pare, in time.”
“We’re staying at Batangas, sa resthouse namin. Just inform me about your plan then on that day I’ll be leaving her for the states.”
“Ok, Karl. Thank you.”
They shook hands and both left the apartment. Karl drove off to Batangas and surprised Alex with flowers. Tristan is now at peace for he knows already where she is. He needed to make his plans done before the week ends. He misses her so much that it breaks his heart that they were apart for so long.
“Have you found her? Did you tell her already?” Sophie asks.
“I know where she is. Pero hindi ko pa siya pinupuntahan.” Tristan said.
“Son, you have pained her so much. Baka kapag bumalik ka sa kanya hindi na love kung di hatred na nararamdaman niya” her mom told him. He laid his head on her chest. Sophie hugged them both.
“I will never let that happen, mom. Natatakot lang ako baka mas magalit siya sa ginawa ko. I never told her any of my plans, especially this”
“Kung magalit man siya, darating din yung time na maiintindihan ka din niya”
“I just want her to be complete. Like what she has done to my life.”
“Kuya, I know she’ll understand. And I know she will forgive you, because she loves you so much.”
“I hope and pray that she will understand. Gusto ko lang naman na kapag niyaya ko siyang magpakasal kumpleto na lahat.”
“You are planning to marry her?” Sophie asks in excitement
“Of course, Soph. I love her. I love her so much”
Her mom and Sophie laughed out loud.
“Well son, I’m happy to hear that. And we’ll be waiting for that day. Now ayusin mo na plano mo, para magawa mo na yan.”
“Thanks Mom, Sophie. I love you both”
Tristan called Karl after a week they talk to each other. He was ready for his plan. He asked for Alex’s number and plans to call her. But he changed his mind, he just went to Batangas to talk to her personally.
Doorbell rings
“Sandali lang.”
“Sandali lang sabi.”
“Nandyan na, di makapaghintay. Karl, ang kulit.” She opens the door and was shocked on the man standing in front of her.
“Hi Babe” sinarado ni Alex and pinto pero napigilan ito ni Tristan.
“Anong ginagawa mo dito? Paano mo nalaman na nandito ako” she asked
“Hindi na importante yun. I just want to explain my side. Babe, hindi ko sinasadya, may mga inaasikaso lang akong importanteng bagay sa Cebu.”
“Alam mo naiintindihan ko kung bakit si Tita Vangie natatawagan mo, siyempre mommy mo siya. Ang hindi ko maintindihan, ang hindi ko ma-gets may nagawa ba akong mali para hindi mo sagutin lahat ng tawag ko o text ko?”
“Babe, wala. Wala kang ginawang mali”
“P*tang *na. Yun naman pala, bakit mo ako pinagmukhang tanga. Halos hindi ko maisip kung bakit?”
He hugged her from her back. “Babe, please. “
“Umalis ka na. Hayaan mo muna ako.” Nagpumiglas siya yakap ni Tristan.
“I love you” Tristan shouted “I love you. I love you Alex Tua”
“Please leave.”
“Alex” he beg
“Leave, Tristan. I am not ready to see you, to hear your explanations. I’m tired of getting hurt again.”
“I will never get tired of loving you, Babe. I know in time you understand. I will never lose faith on you. I will complete you, Babe.”
She led him on his way out and closes the door. Umiyak na lamang siya sa nangyari, mahal na mahal niya si Tristan gusto niyang maniwala sa mga sinabi nito pero natatakot siya.
It’s been 3 days since their incident gusto na niyang bumalik kay Tristan. Hindi na niya kayang tiisin pa ang binata. She fixed her things and went down from her room. She called Karl to say goodbye.
“Yeah I’m leaving now. Thank you Karl. Hindi mo na ako maaabutan dito sa bahay. But after this I’ll call you again, we need to see each other and talk ok. Sige na, aalis na ako bago pa ako gabihin, wait someone’s knocking on the door. Ok, bye Karl”
She opens the door and a woman is standing in front of her
“Alexandra Tua? I’m Cecile Tua”
