I grabbed the boba tea, it was still cold, so I decided to give it to John
Sera was sitting next to him, waiting for the doorbell to ring
I walked over to him and touched his neck with the cold drink
"HOOOLY SH*T", he shivered
He tried to back up, but hurt himself while doing it
"Argh, (Y/n)! Can't you see I'm injured!?", he glared at me
"Wow, you finally decided to say something, huh?", I crossed my arms, "I just wanted to give you your boba"
He grabbed it and started drinking without saying a word. I then gave Sera her drink
"Elaine should be here soon", she said as she grabbed the tea
"Yay", I said sarcastically
"So...John", Seraphina looked at him,"what happened out there?"
He smiled weakly, "ah...well, it's exactly what you'd expect, right? The school Ace leaves and everyone targets her weak friend..."
'but he was alright when he left the school...', I thought
That's when it hit me. He left with Arlo...
John looked at me for a second, squeezing his eyes, as if he was saying 'don't say anything'
"No, that's not what I was asking about", Seraphina talked again, "I've never seen you break down like that before"
Arlo had done this to him...I needed to confront him about it, but I couldn't tell Sera about it, she just came back
"After two weeks, the first thing you say to me is 'don't look at me right now'? That's not right!", Seraphina continued
"John had a really tough week, Sera", I decided to lie, "one thing is getting beaten sometimes, another thing is daily, and more than one time"
John gave me a reassuring smile, as if he was thanking me
"I'm okay now, and that's what matters", John said, "by the way, Sera, where have you been? You weren't online and-"
"Don't change the subject", Sera said firmly
They continued to fight for a while, Sera explaining why she was not online and John not wanting to talk about the incident
