Chapter 6:
"Alora, I don't know about this," Cassie whispered in my ear as we walked to the front of the house.
I grabbed hold of her arm and smiled, "Don't worry! I promise I'm not drinking tonight. If anything happens I'm here. Right?"
"Yes!" Avery and Allegra exclaimed. "Dude, she can't drink for a few months anyways due to health reasons so you'll be fine. Fuck chilli boy," Allegra huffed.
I chuckled at the girls and gave Cassie's arm a squeeze, "Come on, if you're that worried don't drink but in all honesty I'm here."
Cassie nodded her head and I felt her body relax a little, mission accomplished. We walked inside and the smell of weed mixed with vodka instantly splashed our faces.
"We're going to go get a drink," Avery yelled and dragged Allegra along with her.
"Come on, let's go in the living room. That's where the fun is usually at," I yell and drag Cassie along with me.
I grab her hands and dance along with her as I drag her over to give her a drink. "Have you ever had vodka before?" I asked and she shook her head.
I grab the bottle and some ice, pour it in a cup and hand it to her. "If you don't like it don't drink it," I tell her.
She carefully sips it and her eyes widen which made me giggle, "Good?" She devours the rest of the drink and pours some more.
"Cassie?"
I roll my eyes as Milo angrily shoves past people, yanking the drink out of Cassie's hand. "I was drinking that, Milo!" She yelled, hitting his chest.
"I told you not to fucking come," he yelled louder, towering over the both of us.
"I can do what I want Milo, piss off," she huffed and snatched her drink back, drinking it.
He was about to snatch her drink again but I shoved past her, stopping him. "Leave her alone, she's 18 and living her life," I snapped, glaring at him like usual.
"She can be taken advantage of, I don't have time to look after-"
"I'm not drinking, I drove her and my friends here. Can you take a chill pill and let her live her life?" I argued, crossing my arms over my chest.
He took one hard look at me and Cassie before letting out a groan and shoving past me. I turned around and winked at Cassie who looked happier than ever. "I don't know how you did that," she admired.
"You're my friend, I got you," I winked and grabbed her, dragging her to the living room.
I don't let the fact that I can't drink alcohol or do anything to stop me from having fun, I'm confident enough without the alcohol.
The night consisted of Cassie and I dancing to the beat of the music; Avery was busy challenging people to games and Allegra was busy making out with different people.
I noticed the man Allegra was making out with trying to rip open her dress as she was on top of him and I mentally slapped myself. "Are you going to be okay for a second?" I asked Cassie who was on the piano.
