Chapter 9:
"Okay so that's done, right?"
Alora and Julio had been working on their assignment all evening, having finally finish it at 10 PM. "Yep! I'll write my part and then I'll email it to you," Alora says as she gathers her things.
Julio sent her a thankful smile and put his laptop and other belongings away to walk Alora out of his apartment. "Are you sure you don't want to stay? I can take the couch," he offers.
"Oh, thanks! But I need to go, I have a class at 9 AM," she sighed, yawning slightly.
Julio understood and opened the door for Alora to be able to leave. "I'll see you tomorrow," she smiled and exited the house, walking out to go to her car.
Walking out in the night has always been considered for women considering it was unpredictable with that could happen but thankfully she took her car here, however, Alora was completely oblivious to the fact that someone had spotted her there.

*The Next Day
"You know, there's another party this Saturday," Allegra says, putting a spoonful of yogurt in her mouth.
Avery let out a groan, "Not again! I went so out of control last time, I woke up with vomit stains on my t-shirt." Alora let out a little giggle, remembering how she threw up right outside of their dormitory building.
"Alora, you're coming this Saturday, right?" Allegra asks, leaning over to flash her eyelashes at her friend, almost begging her to.
Alora shook her head, frowning, "I can't. I have an appointment in the morning and I don't know if I'm bothered to show up to a party." Allegra understood her best friends condition but still gaped at her, "Who's going to look after us?"
"How about you don't drink?" Alora smirked, knowing her best friends practically lived in alcohol when it came to a party. Allegra rolled her eyes and went back to her yogurt.
"We'll just uber home, don't worry. But let us know how your checkup goes," Avery smiles, rubbing Alora's back confortingly.
Alora nodded in response, not feeling like talking about it. She's hated the doctors ever since she could remember, as a child it was doctors this and that every other day. Growing up with something that can barely be treated is tough, especially at this age.
"Check up on Tom for me will you?" Allegra asks, staring at Alora who was snapped out of her thoughts at the mention of her friend. "Yeah, I will. Have you still not spoken to him?" Alora asks, eyeing her best friend.
Allegra innocently puts a spoonful of yogurt in her mouth before shaking her head. "Allegra!" Avery and Alora exclaim, loudly.
"Allegra, you need to speak to him. I love you but come on-" Avery sighed, shaking her head.
Allegra rolled her eyes, "We weren't dating, everything was mutual-"
"You fucked him the whole summer and then cried in his arms for an hour when you were leaving for college, that's not mutual," Alora snapped, staring at Allegra with a stern expression.
During summer, Allegra had a friends with benefits type of relationship with one of their close friends Tom. They agreed that there would be no feelings between one another but things escalated quickly and they caught feelings.
"I will, I will. Just, I want him to move on first," Allegra whispered, ashamed. "You're a dick for this, you know," Alora said, snatching Allegra's spoon.
The girls soon moved on and conversed about other things when the three of their phones suddenly buzzed with a notification. They each grabbed their phone and checked their Instagram.
"Did you guys just get a notification from Grayson?" Allegra asks, waving her phone in the air. "Yeah...how did he get our instagram?" Alora asked.
The two girls shrugged and proceeded to accept it and request back. "Guys, don't you think it's weird that we come to college to make friends and we end up being friends with Sophomores?" Alora asked, staring at the two.
"If anything it was your fault for getting chilli thrown on you, we might not even be here right now," Avery shrugs, making Alora groan.

After a long day of classes and a 20 minute lunch break, Alora finally arrived at he dorm building. She dragged her bag across the floor all the way till she reached her dorm.
She banged on the door for Cassie to open considering she was too tired to get her keys out. The door opened revealing a relieved Cassie, "Jesus, I thought someone was going to rob us."
"Sorry, I'm just too tired to grab my keys from my bag," Alora mumbled, walking into her room and dropping onto her bed.
Sleep was an important part of Alora's daily routine hence why the second she hit her bed, sleep had consumed her fast.
Cassie smiled and carried on getting ready, ready to meet Milo. She grabbed Alora's brown jacket which she'd asked earlier if she could borrow and popped it on.
There was a knock on the door and Cassie rushed over to open it. Milo stood there wearing his joggers and hoodie waiting patiently. "Hey-"
"Hey, come in!" She exclaimed, pulling him inside. "I need to just do my hair and then we can leave, don't make a sound because sleeping beauty fell asleep," she whispered pointing to Alora.
Cassie ran inside the bathroom and closed the door, leaving Milo alone in the room. He looked over at Alora's bed and walked over, noticing the small girl deeply consumed by sleep, her legs hanging off the bed.
He took this as his opportunity to remove her shoes which she'd forgotten and placed her legs softly on her bed. He grabbed her throw blanket and placed it on her so she wouldn't get a cold.
Knowing this was a bold move, he bent down and placed a small kiss on her temple, "Sweet dreams!" The door to the bathroom opened and Cassie walked out which made Milo take a step back.
"Let's go," she panted, grabbing her bag. She stopped and took a look at Alora's bed, pretty sure she wasn't laid like that when she entered the bathroom 2 minutes ago.
"Not a word," Milo states and grabs Cassie, dragging her out of the dormitory.
