Chapter 8:

Third Person's P.O.V.

If there was one thing Alora loved about the major she had decided to study, was that she got to design a lot. Art ran through her blood from her mother's side, her brother was quite the artist too.

"Now, class, I have paired you up with your fellow classmates and I wish for you both to complete an assignment to be handed in on Thursday's class. I want you both to digitally draw me an exterior building. It can be any scale, I don't mind," the teacher announced.

Alora and Avery shared a slight groan, welcome to College. "Once I call your names, you may leave knowing who you're paired up with."

"Avery Hart and Clarice Motti!"

Avery gave Alora's hand a squeeze before grabbing her things and walking out with her partner. The teacher announced a couple more names until she finally reached Alora's.

"Alora Vigilianco and Julio Spark!"

Alora looked around and locked eyes with her partner, after sending him a small smile she gathered her things and walked out where her partner was waiting.

She'd definitely be lying if she said she didn't gulp when he saw her. He had an entirely sexy face; his blonde, dirty hair was neatly gelled into place. His chiseled jaw could practically cut paper. The tight shirt which was due to the muscles he had was tightly secured on his body.

"Hi," Julio spoke, extending his hand out to Alora. Alora grinned and shook Julio's hand, "Hello. I guess we're partners."

Julio let out a chuckle which made Alora's inside twist with butterflies. "Yes, we are. I hope this doesn't sound too off but I have this thing where I like to finish my assignments as soon as possible to avoid clattering with the rest of my life," he started.

"Oh, I totally get it. We can work on it now if you want," Alora volunteered, knowing she didn't really want to be alone with nothing to do.

Julio guiltily looked at her. "I'm sorry but I have a class in 5 minutes, shit. Can we work on it- uh- at 5?" He apologised.

"Of course! You should hurry though," Alora chuckled, gesturing for her partner to hurry up.

Julio waved and quickly ran off in the opposite direction, heading to his class. Alora took out her phone and sent a text to her friends; Allegra had class until 4 and Avery was working on her assignment.

Giving up, Alora walked out into the sun and headed over to the skate park and decided to scroll through her photos on her laptop. There weren't that many people there other than Grayson and Romeo to which she waved at.

Setting up her laptop, she opened up her prom pictures and a smile appeared on her face. Prom was a night to remember for the three of them but she had to fuck it up.

"You look beautiful!"

Alora shrieked and gut-punched the person behind her. She turned to see Romeo crouching as he held his stomach, Grayson and Milo laughing behind her.

"Don't fucking do that," she breathed, clutching her chest. "You should've seen your face, dude," Grayson chuckled, earning a punch from Romeo.

The three boys sat beside Alora, looking at the laptop. "You do look beautiful, when was that?" Grayson asked, looking over her shoulder.

Alora didn't realise the way Milo pulled Romeo back as he was practically breathing on the girl, she also didn't realise the smile that spread across his face since he knew exactly what day that was.

"Oh, it was prom. Two months ago," she stated, scrolling through the pictures and videos. She let out a chuckle as she came across a video of her, Reuben and Allegra.

"Who the fuck is that?" Milo asked defensively, earning a weird look from the three of them. He rolled his eyes and gestured for Alora to explain. "My friend and Allegra. We snuck alcohol in," she replied.

"Damn, I remember our prom. Remember?" Grayson asked the two boys who shivered. "You guys went to the same school?" Alora asked, not expecting that.

The three boys nodded, they didn't give off preppy private school vibes from the looks of it but Alora didn't push. "Actually, do you guys want to look at the photos? I- I haven't seen them since we took them," she asked shyly.

Milo examined the girl as she fiddled with her fingers, he came to conclude that she fiddled a lot with her fingers if she didn't have anything around her to fiddle with. "Sure," Romeo replied.

A smile appeared on her face and she placed the laptop on her lap as she showed the boys the pictures, earning a compliment from Grayson and Romeo after a picture of her would come up.

After 40 minutes of looking through pictures which went beyond prom and all the way to her awkward years, her phone rang. "Oh, hang on. Keep looking," she said and accepted the call.

"Hey, mum! I can't really talk right now," she said, holding back a giggle as a photo of a drunk 15 year old Avery popped up.

"Baby, you need to come home Saturday. Your checkup is due," Angela said through the phone.

Alora groaned and rubbed her temples, "Mum- I- I thought when I came here my appointments would be transferred too."

"It's not a long drive, Alora. We decided to keep everything here, remember?" Angela sighed.

"Yeah, okay. What time on Saturday?" She asked. "11 AM," Angela replied. "Okay, okay. I'll see you then, bye," she sighed and ended the call.

The boys stared at each other as they noticed Alora's discomfort. "Bro, you good?" Romeo asks, rolling his eyes at the idiotic boys.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm good. I just have to go back home on Saturday morning," she sighed, putting her phone back in her bag.

"Must suck," Milo muttered, not wanting to pry on a friend's issues.

Alora brought her track of thought back onto the pictures and chuckled as she thought back to the memories behind them.

A dark shadow hovered over her and she looked up to see Julio standing in front of her. "Julio, hey! Shit, is it 4 already?" She asked, checking the time.

"Yeah," he chuckled as Alora closed her laptop, putting it away in her bag. "I'll see you guys around," she smiled at Grayson, Milo and Romeo.

Milo nodded his head bluntly and watched Alora walk away with the cheap Justin Bieber. He looked to see Romeo and Grayson exchanging looks.

"What?" He asked, glaring at the boys. "Nothing," the boys chuckled, smirking at their friend who rolled his eyes and got up, grabbing his skate.
