Chapter One:
The sun shone brightly against a winter morning, unusual; usually the morning would consist of frostbite and snow covering the entire ground.
Alora yawned as she woke up to her alarm booming in her room. With a tired head, she woke up and got out of bed.
"Alora!"
Alora groaned at the sudden yelling of her mother so early in the morning, her humanly functions weren't functioning the way they should at the moment.
Grabbing her hoodie and phone, Alora walked out of her room and headed downstairs. There, her mother and father remained seated on the counter drinking their coffee as her brother was playing video games in the living room.
"It's so early, no need to shout," Alora groaned, grabbing coffee and joining her parents.
Her mother, Angela, chuckled, "Baby, it's 11 AM and you promised the girls you would go to the hairdressers."
"Yeah, in an hour," Alora huffed, downing her coffee.
"Honey, do you need money?" Her father, Marco, asked as he was zooming through his work emails.
Alora sat up straight, rubbing her head. "No thanks, daddy. I have enough," she smiled sweetly at her father.
"I'll transfer you a 50, in case of an emergency," her father winked and went back to his work.
Alora shrugged and grabbed a pastry before heading to the living room to see her brother. "Morning," she sang, falling next to her brother, Louis.
"It's 11," Louis scoffed, pausing the game.
"Shut up! It's morning for some of us," Alora huffed, laying her legs on her brother's.
Louis unpaused the game, continuing Fifa. "What time are you leaving for prom?" He asked as Alora stuffed the last bit of her pastry in his mouth.
"6 and I'll probably be home by 12," she shrugged, standing up.
"Say hello to Allegra," he winked, earning a shoulder punch from Alora.
Louis has always had a thing for Alora's best friend, Allegra, but out of respect for his sister he never did anything - that and the fact that he's a year younger than her.

"Girls!" Alora called out, running up to her two best friends who were waiting outside of the hairdressers.
"Alora!" They both squealed simultaneously, today was an emotional day for all three of them.
Alora giggled and hugged her friends, Avery and Allegra. "Come on, I want to go home quickly to get ready," Allegra moaned, dragging the two girls inside.
It took the girls three hours in total to get their hair done; Allegra went for a simple blow dry, Avery got her hair braided and Alora dyed her hair as well as curling it for final touch.
Once the girls payed, they exited the salon hand-in-hand. "Can we stop by and grab a bite?" Avery asked.
"Please- I missed breakfast," Allegra whined, earning a giggle from the two girls.
