AN: This has been sitting in my docs forever, because I couldn't decide if I wanted to extend it and make it a completely separate piece or not. Deciding to end it where it was, I really do hope you guys enjoy it! This is very loosely based off of What Color Is Your Cleansuit episode.

"Venture," you groggily groaned into your phone, holding your head up with your other hand lazily, "Do you understand what time it is? Talk slower."
"You own your own business, now, don't you?" Dr. Venture chided back, though you could hear the hesitating grogginess in his own exasperation. "I'm calling White next, but I know you're further out. Can you come here by noon to hear me out on this project?"
Though you felt as if you were going to just pass right back out on the phone itself, you felt yourself pushing yourself off of your bed, groggily throwing the covers off of you. The phone call basically started off with Dr. Venture, your old colleague, speaking manically in your ear about some project that he had agreed to for Jonas Venture. Finally, allowing an annoyed sigh to escape your lips, you glanced at the time. Just maybe you would be able to get there on time, but how long would you need to sleep in your car if you even said yes to his stupid project? "Fine, T.S.," you said with a huff, moving out of your room as you went to go get ready. "It'll be a stretch to be there by noon, but I'll speed. You know I have a soft spot for you guys, and better appreciate it."
"Of course I do!" Dr. Venture replied in an exasperated tone, surely throwing his hands in the air as he spoke. "You're the absolute best, Y/N/N. It'll be nice to see you again, and I'm sure you remember White."
"How could I forget?" you said with a groggy chucke. "I-I guess I miss you guys anyways, and if it's going to benefit all of us, why the hell not."
"Because you hate being woken up," he teased with a clear smirk against his lips. "I don't get why you never visit. It's not like you live too far away."
"I barely kept in contact with White, so be happy you still have my number," you replied, shrugging your shoulders as you pulled clothes on for the day. "I just, ah, with the business, I've been pretty busy. It's nothing personal, T.S."
"I mean, you don't even call me Rusty anymore," he complained. "And you're actually calling White, well, White. Not like I'm actually complaining- Rusty is embarrassing, but you've lost your spice."
"No," you replied with an eye roll as you walked down to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee and a travel mug. "I haven't lost my spice, T.S. I just, well, grew up I guess. It's not like you're calling me to come play Dungeons and Dragons. Hell, Underbheit became a villain, Sorayama's dead, last I knew White's been off blow. I just- I don't know. I mean, hell, we're all in our forties."
"How's the married life treating you?" he questioned, changing the subject as you had already been getting your keys to leave.
You chuckled, taking a sip of your coffee from your mug before pushing yourself out your door, locking up. "Divorced, for like five years now, T.S.," you replied in a bored tone, moving to your car and starting it up. "The married life sucked, don't do it."
"Well, are you still into you know who?" he teased, clearly with a smirk against his lips.
You rolled your eyes as your free hand reached to turn the key, starting up your car. "I already said, T.S., we aren't in college anymore," you said in a bored tone. "I barely even talk to him."
"You could be right next to Venture Enterprises if you did," he said in a teasing tone. "You can't tell me your over all those late night talks, all your pining. Maybe the two of you-."
