Liam POV

All I could think about was saving him. Saving my best friend. I can't believe we didn't think of him sooner.

I can't believe we all forgot about him.

I can't believe I forgot about him.

I swam as fast as I could to the car. I felt several eyes on me, as everyone ashore gazed.

Finally, I reached the car. Taking a deep breath, I submerged myself underneath the water.

Opening my eyes, I saw he was lying in the back seat, eyes closed. He was unconscious. He must have been completely underwater for a whole minute now. I had to act fast.

While swimming into the car to gather him up, I was already almost out of air. I had to do this quickly.

I placed him on my back, so I could still use my arms to swim with.

Suddenly, I tried to swim forward but I couldn't. Something was wrapped tightly around my ankle.

Shit. I was caught on the seatbelt.

I tried to untangle my ankle, but I couldn't. It was too difficult with Zayn on me. I would have to let him go to untangle myself. If I did though, he would surely die.

It had been way too long, and it would take me at least another 15 seconds to get him back on me.

I felt my lungs filling with water. Now the burning was almost unbearable. Time seemed to stop, as I felt my life slipping away.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw something. Then through the front seat window, Zoey swam in.

I wanted to scream at her. I needed her to be safe. She could die too if she was under for too long. The baby could die.

I was still super angry with her, but then I realized she just saved my life. And Zayn's.

Franticly, I gestured to my tangled ankle.

She seemed to understand, because she swiftly moved over and started to untangle my foot.

With a jolt I was loose, and in a matter of seconds I propelled myself towards the surface with Zayn hanging limply on my back.

I waited for her to arise to the surface. I needed to make sure she was okay.

As soon as her blond hair bobbed above the surface, I immediately started swimming towards shore. I was out of breath, but I swam the fastest I had ever swum before using my pump of adrenaline to keep me going. All I was thinking of now was saving Zayn.

In a matter of seconds, I reached the shore. Harry, Niall, and Louis all rushed into the shallow water to drag Zayn out onto the beach. From the corner of my eye, I saw Saige race over to Zayn.

I was still in the shallow water trying to catch my breath when Zoey swam up beside me.

A weight was lifted off my shoulders now that I knew she was safe for real this time.

I looked over and I saw Saige leaning by Zayns side.

"I'm sorry Louis!" she shouted.

She then gave Zayn a big plant on the lips. I couldn't believe my eyes, until I realized what she was doing.

She was giving him CPR.

I rushed over to Zayn's side with Zoey following behind me. His normally tan skin was pale and white. His eyes were still shut. But I could tell though that he was faintly breathing. He was still alive.

Saige gave Zayn one last kiss on the lips.

"Come on Zayn," I said. "Come on, mate. Wake up!"

His skin turned a light pink. Rolling over onto his side, he started coughing up water.

We were all so relieved.

Harry let out a huge sigh, and rushed over to him to give him a big hug on the ground while he was still lying down in the sand.

He opened his eyes for the first time, and searched around as if he was looking for something. He then rested his eyes on Zoey.

"So..... you're having a baby?" he said, and then started laughing.
