"Tell me what really happened!" I demanded as Alex pulled me into a sketchy alley right outside of the gift shop.

"Zoe, you have to promise me you won't think I am crazy." She pleaded. I could tell something was up when I looked into her eyes.

     "I promise."

She started to explain exactly what had happened in the past few days. Starting with when we left the orphanage. Alex told me how she stole the white SUV. Turns out, she can manipulate electricity. Then she told me about the water in the motel room. I could tell just by looking at her face, that she was telling the absolute truth.

"I am like you." I explained. This morning when we were walking to the Sunken Ship, my hand brushed over the cut on my forehead. When I moved it, my skin was fully healed.  "Cut your hand."

Alex leaned over to grab a sharp rock. She pushed the rock into the palm of her hand until it was starting to bleed.  I turned my attention to the cut. I closed my eyes and imagined the cut closing. I hover my hand over the cut. I opened my eyes back up. The broken skin that used to surround her cut was perfectly healed.

    "Whoa!" Alex exclaimed.

"There is something else I want to tell you!" I told her. "Cool huh?" I transmitted into her mind. Her thoughts explained it all. Her mind was screaming, thoughts playing and pausing every which way.  I felt that I was invading her privacy, so I pulled away from her mind. I emerged with a pounding headache.

"Promise not to tell anyone about us? Including Claire." I asked.

     "I Promise!" Alex answered.
