It was a dark night in the village of Hage in the Forsaken Realm of the Clover Kingdom. The priest of the church, Father Orsi,  was working hard when he heard something coming from outside. He opened the door and looked around. Father Orsi gasped when he saw three babies on the front porch. He picked them up in his arms, "You poor things. We better get you inside." He held the three and closed the door behind him. He used his flame magic to light a fire to warm them up. Father Orsi set the three babies on the table and looked at them, "Now, who are you? Brothers? No. In the first place, you don't look anything alike. One of you seems more energetic than the other two and one of you is calmer. " Father Orsi looked at the baby in the middle. He was looking at the priest and then started looking around the room, not making even a sound. Father Orsi looked at the baby's  blanket, "Let's see. Ah, so your name is Y/N." He moved to the calm baby and checked his blanket, "And your name is Yuno. That's good. Now, for the last one." He went to check the last baby's blanket, only to get hit in the face. Father Orsi groaned, "Energetic, aren't you? Hmm, Asta, huh?" He smiled at the three babies, all of which were now sleeping.

Time Skip (15 years):

"Marry me!!!!!!" The scream was heard throughout the village of Hage. Some farmers let out a sigh. "There he goes again." "It's that kid from the church." At the church, a young, gray haired boy was holding a flower. He was kneeling in front of the nun, "Sister Lily. One day, I'll become the Wizard King and I'll be able to make you happy. So please marry me!!" Sister Lily smiled, "I'm sorry Asta, but I'm a nun. I can't get married." Asta was shocked and fell backwards, only to jump forward, "I'm not done yet." Sister Lily said, "No." Asta yelled, "Not done." Sister Lily repeated, "Not possible." Asta screamed, "Not done! Not done! Not done!" Sister Lily got out her grimoire and used it to create a water fist to punch Asta, "I said no." Asta groaned in pain. Sister Lily gasped, "Oh, I'm sorry Asta. I didn't mean to use my grimoire." Asta jumped back up, "I'm not done yet!" He was the blown away to the wall. Sister Lily turned, "Oh, Yuno. Thank you." Yuno stood there with the other children from the church. Rekka said, "Asta are you causing trouble for the Sister again?" Nash said, "How many rejections will it take for you to get a hint?" Asta yelled, "Shut up you brats! And you! Yuno! Why are you getting in the way?" Yuno said, "Why? You're noisy, short, restless and immature. Basically, you have no qualities that would appeal to women." Asta said, "Hey!!! How could you say that to someone you grew up with for the last fifteen years, you cold and handsome jerk!!" Yuno turned to Sister Lily, "I'll help you, Sister." Lily said, "Thank you, Yuno." Asta yelled, "Stop ignoring me!" Yuno replied, "By the way, Asta. The Sister is a person of the cloth and cannot get married, and also you can't marry anyone because you're only fifteen." Asta growled, "Shut up Yuno!! You jerk!! I challenge you to a fight!!" Yuno said, "No." "Why not!!??" "It's a waste of time." "What did you say??" Nash and Rekka watched the two argue. Nash told Asta, "Don't Asta. There's no way you can win against Yuno. Because you... can't use magic." Asta groaned as he attempted to use a magic attack but failed. The kids laughed at Asta's foolishness and when he started doing pushups. The children soon lost interest and watched as Yuno cleaned the clothes. Asta tried to help by cutting fire wood, but Yuno beat him to it. Asta became angry at the difference in abilities between the two. Father Orsi came out, "Yuno is the hope of this church!" Arlu said, "Yuno, you're really amazing." Nash said, "I'm sure it's not a far-fetched dream to see you join the Magic Knights and work directly under the Wizard King!" Asta became depressed at the fact that he couldn't use magic, but Sister Lily suggested that he might be able to use magic once he received his grimoire. Asta cheered up and got excited. "Oh, did I miss something?" Asta and Lily turned to see Y/N approaching them. Asta ran to him and hugged him tightly, "Y/N!!!! Yuno was being mean to me." Y/N frowned, "I see. It was about you being unable to use magic again, wasn't it?" Asta looked up at him and nodded. Y/N smiled softly, "Don't worry Asta. One day, your powers will appear and you'll be able to help lots of people. Once that happens, you'll definitely be able to become the Wizard King." Asta jumped up and smiled brightly, "Thanks Y/N. You're the absolute best! Alright. I need to get to training." Asta rushed off into the woods. Nash looked at Y/N, "Why do you keep on humoring his dream? You know it won't happen." Y/N frowned at Nash, "You don't know that. I have faith in Asta. I know he'll do incredible things." Father Orsi asked, "Y/N, are you sure that you don't want to take the Magic Knights entrance exam with Yuno and Asta? You have so much potential, I'm sure you'd do well." Rekka said, "Yeah. You can do it." Y/N chuckled nervously, "You know that that's not for me. I'm just happy being able to support Asta and Yuno and watch their dreams come true." Y/N walked back into the church.

"Let's dig in!" All of them were sitting at the dining table and eating the meal that Y/N had prepared. Asta was bobbling it all up, "Man, Y/N. You're food is the best damn thing I've ever tasted." Y/N laughed lightly, "That's very flattering, but I doubt it's true. Once you head to the royal capital, I'm sure that you'll find much tastier meals." Asta stopped eating, "No way. No matter what I eat, I'll always think that you're cooking is the best!" Y/N blushed from embarrassment. Yuno said, "Stop that! You're embarrassing Y/N." Y/N silently thanked Yuno before they returned to eating.

Y/N was looking at the stars on the roof of the church when he heard someone approach, "Hello Yuno. Is something the matter?" Yuno stood over him, "I'm still curious as to why you don't want to join the Magic Knights. You'd definitely get in." Y/N said, "I've explained this a million times. I don't have some grand dream of changing the world for the better. I'm just happy being on the sidelines and watching you and Asta work for your dreams." Yuno stared at him for a minute before turning to leave. As he was leaving, he said, "If I'm being honest, I'd prefer if you watch us for up close." Y/N was surprised by Yuno's response. It wasn't like him. Y/N let out a sigh, "What a troublesome person you've grown up to be. You even have the cheek to say something like that without any reserves. Well, whatever the case may be, I'll be there for you two. Just like how you've always been there for me."
