i sat in the passenger seat, my head leaned against the door watching the dimly lit streetlights passing one by one.

we were sat in a comfortable silence, the soft low music playing in the background making the atmosphere less awkward.

"where are we going?" i finally asked, turning to face yeonjun who was focused on the road.

"i told you it's a surprise." he smiled.

"you're not going to kill me are you?" i joked, watching as he turned into an isolated road.

"jeez what is up with you and thinking i'm trying to kill you?" he laughed.

"your actions tell me otherwise" i shrugged, sitting back into my seat.

he continued to drive up the cliff until we finally came to a stop.

"close your eyes." he demanded, excitedly taking his seat belt off.

"wha-" not giving me any time to answer, yeonjun got out of the car. walking round to my side and opening the door.

"quick, close your eyes" he unbuckled my seatbelt for me, offering out his hands to which i accepted and pulling me out the car.

"no. why." i said, not being a fan of surprises.

"please." he pulled a cute puppy face.

"ew omg ok fine just don't make that face again." i joked, secretly finding him cute.

i closed my eyes, scared.

it was suddenly silent. too silent "yeonjun?".

"don't worry i'm right here." i felt his arms snake around me, one falling over my eyes and the other resting on my waist, "is this okay?" he asked referring to his actions, i nodded consentingly.

"we're gonna start walking." he warned me as he began taking steps forward leading me.

i held onto his arm that was around my waist, scared from my loss of sight. we walked a little further side by side until he halted, causing me to stop as well.

"you ready?" he teased.

"i swear if you don't hurry." i jokingly threatened.

"alright alright" yeonjun giggled, finally taking his hands away from my eyes.

i blinked hard, my eyes slowly adjusting to the surroundings revealing the shining lights of the city.

"wow." i gasped, taking a step closer, mesmerised by the landscape. we could probably see the whole town from up here.

"careful." yeonjun let out, grabbing onto me to stop me from walking any closer to the cliff edge.

he held onto my waist, walking slowly behind me and engulfing me into his large chest. not refusing, i accepted his hug, crossing my hands round my stomach and intertwining my fingers with his.

"you know for someone who i've known not that long you sure are touchy." i looked up at him, amused.

"what can i say, i have a lot of love in me." he smiled down at me.

all of a sudden i got this funny feeling in my stomach, it didn't feel like a stomachache or a cramp... but a sort of fluttery feeling. it was kinda nice.

"how did you even find this place?" i asked dismissing the feelings and thoughts i was having.

"it's my safe place." he spoke. "fun fact, you're the first person i've shown this place to." i could feel the vibrations of his voice against my back.

"wow i'm honoured." i let out.

i could understand why this was his safe place. looking at the view made me feel at peace, but also standing here, right now in his arms made me feel even safer.

for the short months that we've known each other, i've confided more onto yeonjun than other people that i've known for years.

he made me feel safe.

i subconsciously snuggled deeper into his chest, holding his hands a little more firmly. not wanting this moment to end.

"oh i almost forgot." he twirled me around to face him. "what?" i pulled him closer. the sudden loss of touch making me cold.

"come." he dragged me with him towards the car. "here. wait here." he let go of my hand going to grab something.

he came back out with a blanket and climbed to sit on top of the car trunk.

motioning for me to come i obeyed grabbing onto his hands as he helped me up as well.

he laid the blanket on top of both of us, and moved his arm around my shoulder. "now lay." he slowly pulled me back, guiding me to lay down with him. his arm now acting as my headrest.

"what are you doing?" i giggled confused.

"look" yeonjun pointed to the sky.

that's when i realised the night sky that was decorated with stars.

it was breathtaking.

"since you love the sky so much i figured it included the stars." he turned to me.

i just nodded, too mesmerised to reply.

i sighed feeling the happiest i've ever felt.

"thank you." i turned to my side cuddling into him.

"what for?" he said, gently rubbing my back with the arm that was under my head.

"for making me smile." i closed my eyes. my emotions running wild as i was experiencing new ones that i was not familiar with.

feeling drowsiness take over me, i slowly started to fall asleep. i struggled to fight against it, but yeonjuns soothing voice wasn't helping.

so i finally accepted it allowing the slumber to take over me. leaving yeonjun to talk to himself.

"you deserve it, and so much more-" i could hear him faintly.

his fingers traced the side of my face pushing my hair behind my ear. the calming feeling causing me to fall into a deeper sleep in no time.
