~Nick's POV~

Our first date 

Mine and Karl's first real official date 

My plan for our evening was a picnic in that wooded area they had found just a few days ago,  this area has slightly became our place 

It's 2:27 Saturday afternoon, Karl was at work and his shift ended at 3:30 and we were leaving at 4 for the date 

I was preparing a 'meal' for tonight, I had no clue what people would eat at a picnic date, so I looked it up and gave me a few ideas 

I ended up making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that were shaped in hearts, I honestly believed they were super cheesy but maybe Karl thought they would be cute 

I also made chocolate covered strawberries, well at least I tried 

I was leaning against the kitchen island on my phone as I hear the front door open, I had given Karl a key to my house if he ever needed it

He walks into the kitchen and puts his keys on the counter and opens his arms signing he wants a hug

I chuckle and embrace Karl into my arms

Head head on my chest with his arms around my lower torso and my arms around shoulders while my head was on top of his

(A/N I know Karl is actually taller then Nick, but because this is a fanfic and not real life Karl is shorter then Nick. But not bye much)

"How was work?" I ask while kissing the top of his head 

"It was okay I guess" he said 

I could tell he was tired, but we still have a big evening planned 

"How about you go get ready for our first date tonight?" I suggested 

He just hms and walks to my room where he keep some clothes he brought over

I was already dressed and all but I don't think he noticed

After 10 minutes or so we walks back downstairs, this time I was sitting on the couch in the living room, which isn't that far from the Kitchen 

He gets over to the couch and lay down to where his head is on my lap, I start playing with his hair while waiting for Karl to tell me that he's ready

"We are good to go whenever" he said as if he had read my mind 

I nod with a smile on my face as he gets off of me 

We both start walking to the car, then suddenly Karl stops his walking and turns to me.

I give him a questioning look as he reaches for my hand, I now understand what he wanted so i connected our hands and walked to the car

We get to the car, we let go of each other's hand until we reconnect them back in the car 

I grab my phone out of my pocket with my left hand and give it to Karl 

"You can control the music" I say as I start pulling out of my garage

"Thank you" he said as he lifted up our hands as he kisses the back of my hand 

'Well that was cute' 

~time skip to the park~

The car ride wasn't ver special, Karl played love songs in the car and what was really it

I parked the car as Karl starts looking around to see where we were

He gasps "are we going to that wooded area?!" He ask excitedly
