-"Samurai Cop or Point Break?" Stan asked as he looked through the news paper at the showings.
"Point Break!" Beverly and Y/n said in unison.
The girls looked at each other and chuckled. They just thought Keanu Reeves was hot."No, what the fuck! They just wanna drool over that Keanu guy. We're seeing Samurai Cop." Richie stated.
"That movie sounds so stupid." Y/n huffed.
"I don't remember anyone asking for your fucking opinion?" Richie snapped.
"I don't give a fuck if anyone did or not-"
"Okay, okay! Jesus Christ, can you two shut the fuck up for just 5 minutes!" Eddie stopped their argument.
Y/n just rolled her eyes but Richie had to have the last word.
"You shut the fuck up for 5 minutes.""Good one, dickhead."
Y/n watched the two boys' interaction. Richie muttered another comeback to Eddie, probably something about his mom, but she didn't catch what it was.
She had zoned out. She was staring at Richie.
She hated the fact that she found him so attractive. Ever since last summer when he had his growth spurt, she felt like she couldn't keep her eyes off of him.
He was at least 5 inches taller, easily the tallest of the group now. He wore contacts occasionally, just at school but never around the losers. His hair was an inch or 2 longer, making his curls more prominent. He wore a lot of black clothing now, which looked so good on him (with the exception of his hawaiian shirts that he still won't let go). He layered his fingers with rings. His jaw line was chiseled and defined. He had these veins in his arms and hands that stood out. Especially, when he was wrestling with one of the other boys. Sometimes, she'd wish he'd wrestle with her just so he could put his hands all over her.
It use to be easy for Y/n to tease at his appearance, with his frog face and his oversized glasses that magnified his eyes. But now, she couldn't bring herself to do so.
"You like what you see, Y/n/n?" Richie smirked, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"You wish, Tozier. I was looking at that spider on your shoulder." Y/n chuckled, lying to cover herself.
"What? Where!? What the fuck!? Bill, get it off!"
Richie shook around and patted his clothing in a panic. He liked to pretend he wasn't afraid of the spiders, but we all knew he was. He did a lot of pretending.
Y/n and Richie had hated each other ever since she could remember. She wasn't exactly sure why. Maybe it was the fact that she didn't put up with Richie's shit. There wasn't a time where the losers could hang out and not hear the two argue. They all took turns breaking it up.
Little did Y/n and Richie know, they all had placed bets on when the two would hash out their hatred with a fuck. The sexual tension between them was so obvious to the losers.
But, Richie and Y/n were blind to it. Yes, Richie would make sexual jokes towards her. Jokes that would sometimes make her cross her legs and send butterflies fluttering in her stomach. But, she never took it as anything more than him being his typical trashmouth self.
And yes, Richie would check out Y/n more than often. He always thought she was pretty. With her eyes that glistened in the sun. Her adorable cheeks. Her smile, oh god, her smile. And her thighs that rested so nicely on the towel as she sunbathed down at the quarry. He liked everything about her. He liked how she would fight back with him, not letting him get away with his smart mouth. He liked how behind her feisty act, she was the sweetest little thing.
Even though Richie's feelings were growing stronger, they both would never admit these things to each other. Or so, they thought.
Y/n pushed away her thoughts about Richie and continued to rest in the hammock as she read a magazine while the rest of the group discussed what movie to see at what time.
"Get off. It's my turn."
Y/n looked up from her magazine to see Richie standing over her, pushing up his glasses when their eyes met.
"Or I'll just lay in there with you." He smirked.
"Fuck off. I'm comfortable." She looked back down at her magazine.
"Seriously, Y/n. Eddie made me agree to that stupid fucking rule so get off."
She ignored him and just a moment later, he climbed into the hammock with her.
"Really, Richie!?" She exclaimed as the hammock swung from side to side while he scrambled to fit in with her.
Richie got comfortable across from Y/n with his hands intertwined behind his head and their legs pressed against each other's.
"I hate you." She mumbled.
He smiled."Yeah, I hate you too. I told you what would happen if you didn't listen to me."
"We're leaving anyways, you guys." Mike announced.
The girl huffed before climbing out of the hammock while Richie stayed in his position.
"Nice ass."
Y/n turned back around and swatted his arm with the magazine.
He opened his mouth to say 'Ow' but nothing came out. He just rubbed his arm with a slight pout before getting out of the hammock. The group made their way out of the clubhouse, climbing up the ladder one by one and back out into the woods.
