Okay I swear I was so close last night!
I ordered some light blocking headphones with Bluetooth so that I could listen to subliminals while sleeping, and hopefully not get so distracted when my partner rolls over in bed, and of course they never came 🙄 So instead I decided to just take my normal wireless earbuds and go to bed early.
I scripted that I would first shift to the Hogwarts Express on my way for first year, and I would be woken up from a nap when Ron and Harry enter my carriage asking if they can sit with me, so the subliminal I listened to was the sound of a train, and I was visualizing sitting in a train carriage.
I got my first symptoms almost right away (which is normal for me) - jumpy limbs, and a feeling that my head is spinning. I have learnt that I need to really dig into that spinning feeling, but symptoms were not really progressing.
About 40 minutes into the 60 minute subliminal I was all of a sudden wide awake. I must've been dozing off, and just unaware, but this is when shit got real. My entire body felt numb, and tingly, and yet it felt like some of my limbs were moving on their own accord (my right hand especially). I could feel the gentle sway of the train as we drove over the tracks. I could hear the carriage door slide open, and I could hear muffled voices talking. I felt my cat crawl past my feet, and even began to smell the scent of lilacs, which I scripted to be my scent and what I smell when entering my DR.
Unfortunately things stalled. I got a little too excited, and then became too aware of things, and got kind of claustrophobic from lying there. My subliminal ended, so I took out my headphones and rolled over to my right side (which is the side of my head I visualize resting on the train window).
I did have minor symptoms in this position, but nothing to write home about. At least my dreams were vivid and detailed, and my ideal format. At one point in the dream someone I was talking to started talking about shifting, which was so exciting, and I'm taking it as a good sign.
Fingers crossed my sleeping headphones arrive today, and we will try again tonight!
