A bright light cut through the darkness around Alex. He had to shut his eyes because they had grown accustomed to the dark. The light made them burn and as much as he wanted to cover his eyes with his arm, he couldn't. Both his arms and legs were bound by chains, making him hang helplessly from the cold stone wall.

Someone stepped in front of him, temporarily blocking the light. He blinked wildly as his eyes continued to adjust to the light. When the figure came into focus he immediately knew who was before him. It was his father. His heart pounded and an uncontrollable anger welled up inside him. He tried pulling his arms free to no avail, all his strength was gone. It was like something had sucked it all out of him.

"Let me go," Alex whispered hoarsely.

The man in front of him, Richard Stone, only gave a cold stare in reply. Alex jerked at the chains, again trying to pull free. He clenched his fists and summoned what strength he could, willing his power to manifest. Nothing happened. He let out a frustrated yell that burned his dry throat.

"Venge Stone chains," his father said. "Don't bother trying that again."

"What do you want?" Alex asked hopelessly. He let his head hang. He had no more strength to spend.

"You know what I want, Alex. It's what I've always wanted. If you had just given it to me of your own free will, you wouldn't be hanging here, broken and alone." He replied. "Now I'm going to take it from you."

Just as he finished speaking more lights came on, revealing Alex was boxed in by three glass walls much in contrast to the stone wall he was chained to. On the other side of the glass, the walls at his sides were lined with computers, monitors and other tech. They switched on as Richard walked out of the containment cell. A handful of people in white lab coats sat at the computers and began to push all kinds of buttons, preparing for what...Alex could only guess.

The containment cell closed and locked Alex inside. Then came a low hum as several mechanical arms came down from the ceiling and headed straight for him. The sharp finger like ends pierced his body and sent a jolt of energy through him. Alex screamed, as the pain became unbearable, then went unconscious. His body hung limply as what was left of his energy was taken from him.

"That's enough," Richard said to the head technician. "He needs to be alive so we can take more. Let him get his strength back, then continue with phase two."

The technologist nodded and motioned for the procedure to stop.

"Meanwhile," Richard continued. "Notify Ms. Grant that the energy has been harnessed and the weapons will be perfected in time. And Aiden," Aiden stepped forward from the place where he was quietly watching. "I want you to keep an eye on those pesky Ninjnerds. We can't let them interfere with our plans, we're so close to getting what we want."

"Yessir," Aiden nodded. "I'll take care of them."

He walked to the adjoining room, a weapons storeroom, where two ninjas dressed in black waited for him. He put on a matching black Gi and strapped a katana to his back. He and the other two each took a small black gun. The guns were a new untested stun prototype. This would be a perfect time to test them out, Aiden thought. He grinned then motioned for the others to follow him.
