Quick A/N. This chapter has an attached song. I have put in a note where I thought it fit best but to be honest you can listen to it whenever. It fits the mood of the chapter quite well in my opinion. Enjoy:)
A Walk of a Lifetime
The day had finally come, the day that Maggie and Harrison would say 'I do' in front of all of their friends. Hadlee had done absolutely everything she could to make the day as special as she possibly could and every single one of the Waverly Lifeguards had helped with anything and everything she asked. They'd found a beautiful venue that cost them nearly nothing thanks to some family ties that Hoppo had and it was a private stretch of sand, giving Maggie and Harrison the beach front wedding that they had wanted.
Maggie was sitting in a small tent that had been put up near the top of the sand getting ready. She'd asked Sadie to be her maid of honor and Hadlee to be one of her bridesmaids. Hadlee had been over the moon, she knew that Sadie would make an amazing maid of honor and be able to tend to Maggie more than she would since she was running around making sure everything went smoothly.
"This is beautiful Hads." Harrison said, approaching his sister from behind.
Hadlee turned to him and smiled. She'd just finished the finishing touches on the seating area and the alter and was looking at the whole thing.
"Yeah? You like it?" She asked, wanting to make sure.
Harrison draped his arm over his sister's shoulder and smiled.
"I love it," He affirmed. "And I know that Maggie will love it too."
Hadlee smiled again.
"I hope so," She said, and looked at Harrison's outfit. His clothes consisted of board shorts and a t-shirt. "Why aren't you dressed?"
Harrison froze.
"I still have time." He defended.
Hadlee looked at her phone and scowled.
"The ceremony starts in an hour and guests will start arriving any minute," She said and then pointed to the tent he was meant to be in. "Go."
Harrison looked at her incredulously.
"What about Maggie?" He asked.
"She's been in her tent for an hour already. Go get dressed." Hadlee said giving Harrison a little push in the right direction, literally.
"Okay, okay I'm going." Harrison said walking towards his tent with his hands held up in surrender
Hadlee laughed and shook her head at her brother's antics.
"I'll make sure he's ready to go Hads." Somebody said.
Hadlee turned and saw Jethro dressed and standing behind her. She laughed and leaned into him, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I know you will." She smiled.
"You really did an amazing job setting this up." He said looking around.
"Thank you. Who knew I had a knack for last minute wedding planning?" She joked.
Jethro laughed and placed a gentle kiss on her lips before pulling back and taking a slow step towards Harrison's tent.
"Yeah well, we'll make sure you've got more of a heads up next time." He shrugged, before turning around and walking off.
"Next time?" She called after Jethro.
