Little Angel

When Jenny, one of the sound production managers, came running into the tower rambling a million miles a minute everybody was on their feet. Harries was the first to approach her, calming her down enough so that they could understand her through her gasps for breath.

"Hadlee...seizure...Maggie...labor." She panted, leaning over her knees as soon as she got it out.

            Harrison's eyes bugged out.

"Maggie's in labor?" He all but yelled.

"Yeah." Jenny breathed.

"Okay," Harrison said, running his hands through his hair and spinning around, looking for his things. "Bag, hospital, Maggie."

Deano moved to where Harrison was fretting and gripped him firmly by the shoulders to get Harrison to look at him.

"Harrison," He said firmly. Harrison looked at him, his eyes wild. "You're freaking out. Take a deep breath."

Harrison followed instructions, dragging in a breath. A commotion on the stairs caught their attention and they all turned to see a couple of the crew helping Maggie through the door, a slightly dazed looking Hadlee not far behind, another crew member helping her.

"Maggie." Harrison said, rushing to his wife's side.

"Hey Hutz." Maggie smiled, her brow furrowed and a hand wrapped tightly over her abdomen.

Harrison nodded to the crew members and immediately took their place.

"I have your bag in the car and we'll go straight to the hospital." He said.

Maggie nodded and grimaced as another contraction hit her.

"Hospital sounds good." She said through gritted teeth.

Harrison looked up to where Jethro had pulled Hadlee onto his lap, letting her rest her head on his shoulder.

"We'll meet you at the hospital as soon as she's with it a little more." Jethro said.

            Hadlee tried to sit up.

"No, I'm good." She slurred trying to stand but just falling back over.

"Yeah no," Jethro said, pulling her legs over the arm of the chair. He nodded to Harrison. "Go, take care of Maggie, we'll be there."

Harrison nodded his thanks before turning back to Maggie who had gripped his arm so tight it hurt.

"Let's go Mags." He said, wrapping an arm lightly around Maggie's waist to help support her.

Together they headed for the door.

"Hey Harrison," Deano called, catching the younger's attention. "If she says to shut up. Do it."

            Harrison smiled and nodded.

"Got it." He said.

Maggie's screams were loud, and they echoed down the halls of the maternity ward. Not that anybody blamed her of course, childbirth wasn't exactly a pleasurable experience. She held Harrison's hand with an iron grip, squeezing until her knuckles were white.
